I think 4m in Europe is about right. 5m in the us and 3.5m in Japan
Even if PSP was at 2.5m at the end of 2005, selling more than 1.5m units in 5 months means 300k monthly sales on average in Europe. I think even PS2 couldn't do that in the past, but anyway.
DS and PSP difference in sales is more than 5.5m units for sure. DS is ahead of PSP by 5m units in Japan alone.
As I said 12.5m for PSP and 18.5m - 19m for DS seems about right.

We'll agree to slightly disagree then :p

DS
Japan: 8.5m
NA: 5.5m
Others: 5.0m

Total 19.0m

PSP
Japan: 3.5m
NA: 5.5m
Others: 4.5m

Total 13.5m

Ehm, the total of DS and PSP in USA is 4.5 millions. Canada + South America = 1 million for both PSP and DS ?

Your NA sales numbers are too high for both handhelds. Actually Nintendo has SHIPPED 5.11m DS units by the end of March (I assume 5.5m by now), and for clarify things a bit more, according to latest NPD figures sales of DS and PSP in US are:

Nintendo DS: 4,447,092
PlayStation Portable: 4,332,872

If we consider Canada and also May sales, both handhelds struggle to reach 5m mark.

That's what I think too. Probably sales for NA for both PSP and DS are something around 4.5-5 millions.

Would someone mind helping me out?

I can't seem to find sales for Golden Week of May. Could we just post ALL hardware sales data for May 1 through May 28?

I have no data from May 7 - 14, and the one I find on magicbox is equal to my April 17 - 23 sales so I don't know which one to figure out

Wow, 14 pages!

Hopefully NSMB will show incredible legs this week. Does anyone know how many Nintendo shipped between the 4th - 10th day of sale?

That calculation from the other thread has it pegged at 800K for the second week. The thread about Nintendo's conference
Then it got a conflicting figure suggesting total sales at 1.25 million. (I.e 350k second week.)

They all look pretty believable. Slightly larger drop for NSMB than I was expecting, but still awesomely good and higher than most people thought the first week would be!!

numbers seem off, i don't believe, also why aren't there 10 titles?

They look about spot on to be honest, looks like a pretty slow week all round (apart from NSMB of course which is selling about on par with Chrono Trigger / Street Fighter and Pokemon FR / LG as expected.

I posted that Metroid Prime Hunters would ride the current wave of DS success. Although, it sold about three times as much as I was expecting. :p

it's a slow time of the year. Everything got a boost last week (on DS) because of Mario, I don't think you can really expect a lot more this week.

330k for NSMB is a good second week, and puts it around the top 15 second weeks ever I'd have thought, and a lot of the games above are either Pokemon or Dragon Quest!

Yeah, probably you're right. Perhaps the DS's performance has been so incredible since December 2005, that to begin to see "Normal" numbers (well, DSL is selling still awesome and Ner Super Mario bros. is still selling well) is a little bit strange now.

13.5m sold through for PSP?

I think it's less than 12.5m by now.

Japan ~ 3.5m
NA ~ 5m
Europe ~ 3.5m (at best)
Other ~ 0.5m
------------------
Total ~ 12.5m
What does the 'other' column suggest? The PSP has sold at least 300K in Korea alone, maybe even 400K-500K as of September 2005, pre-christmas, and their plan was to sell 500K before march, but they've boosted that figure. Another 200K were sold in Taiwan through April '06. almost 40K PSPs were sold through September 11, '05, and Sony expected 330-380K sold (After revised expectations) through March

That's an unexpected level of success for Metroid Prime Hunters, I would think. How much did the GC games do? (Yes, I know, of course the GC had a smaller userbase...)

You forgot to close the Klammer.

Anyway, his numbers are the same as your numers: approximation. And I learned long time ago that what cannot be proofed, it totally useless.
So, we can judge only USA, Japan, Canada (when we have numbers) and Europe (when we have numbers).
The rest of the world: impossible to say something constructive about it.
