That would make sense if Vita version was difficult to develop for - but if you have assets from PS3 version it should be ultra easy porting.

Well, they also released PES6 for X360 but not PS3 and those would presumably be even easier to port between.

Maybe you misunderstand? It should be easier to port from X360 to PS3 than from PS3 to Vita.

It's not easy to port from 360 to PS3 at all, which is why almost every game that is 360 lead platform ends up shit when they try to port it to PS3. The architecture is completely different. Vita was specifically designed to facilitate parallel development with PS3.

Surprised that no one is foreseeing a DokiDoki Majo Shinpan situation with Kagura Burst. The first one sold so well primarily because of the timing (after price drop, almost immediately after the MH3G announcement, and in the middle of a huge software drought), and I doubt there's going to be a repeat of such a situation this time around. The new game is clearly rehashing the previous game's engine (and reusing the models from the enemy's side -- doesn't look to me like they improved much of anything from those screenshots), so I wonder how that'll be taken as well. You also have the likely odd timing of the anime -- supposedly Marvelous' summer lineup is already filled, which would mean an October start. Releasing the game before the anime seems to run against the whole premise of using the anime as an advertisement for the game (though their aim could be to keep the momentum going and increase sales of anime DVDs).

Yeah, I think it'll sell lower than the first game. Senran Kagura's an unexpected success, and I don't think this is the right approach to follow up an unexpected success.

As far as assets are concerned (which is what the post I quoted referred to), yes.

What?

He's saying it's not hard to develop a Vita version because they already have PS3 assets, which can be ported to Vita easily due to the hardware architecture. They could not port 360 assets to PS3 with the same ease, hence why a PS3 version would not necessarily be easier to develop off of a 360 version. What are you on about? "As far as assets are concerned" doesn't even make sense.

It's not easy to port from CELL to ARM either, and Vita is weaker than PS3 and X360. HD assets would be shared across X360 and PS3, but have to be downgraded for Vita. Vita is not a portable PS3, architecture is quite different.

I love how some people seem to think that Vita is like a portable PS3, I mean the thing is powerful and all but is closer to 3DS then PS3 lol.

Except the ease of developing for both PS3 and Vita at the same time is well documented, something that Sony advertized to developers from the beginning, and has nothing to do with raw horsepower as you and BKK seem to believe. The PS3 is notoriously difficult to work with, but the Vita is not. If the PS3 version already exists, developing for Vita should be a cinch. All of the PS3 to Vita ports thus far tend to run much smoother than 360 lead to PS3 ports.

That doesn't make any sense. Vita's architecture is nothing like PS3's-- off the shelf parts.

Two copies sold? That's not a bomb guys, stop trolling!!!
The numbers will be out in less than seven hours.
On Sinobi, there are tidbits about this week's main releases ( Mario Party 9, RE: ORC, Dynasty Warriors Vs. , Ciel no Surge) Could someone kindly translate them, please? :D

This year's Golden Week isn't gonna be that great, but I still can't wait for it. Mainly for Vita's numbers.

3DS could do some big numbers ( even if not DS 2006-2007 ones), I'm pretty curious in seeing the software, too.

Cores, shaders and BIOS oh my!
Numbers are going to be very low all around I think, if 3G is #3 (or was there a reason for sales to increase?).

Dunno about FE though, just saying that Code of Princess being #2 doesn't necessarily mean it did all that great.

Though it probably did well all things considered, low budget hack & slash banking on t&a to sell like Senran Kagura.

It's a Guardian Heroes clone with some nice looking battle animations. A bit slow looking, unless there's a hyper mode.

But it seems to have a lot of what made GH great, including the ability to play as any unlocked enemy in vs (I think).

If the drop for SRW was anything like it was for the first Z, MH3G could be close to 30k this week. Also I think JoshuaJSlone dun goofed.
