A local (Hong Kong) magazine rumor said a new Monster Hunter title will be announced soon, but it is definitely not on PSV.

This editor had a good track record for Capcom news since he hinted new Monster Hunter game on 3DS a few weeks before Nintendo Fall Conference 2011 and WiiU before Fall Conference 2012.

Probably not MH4G since it is too close. Maybe another iOS MH or MH4 HD on WiiU?

releasing after 4 probably makes most sense, the market for the game will only be a small subset of the monhun fanbase so probably best after they've all finally been given the kick up the arse to move over to 3ds which 4 will bring which 3g wouldn't have done for all of them with it just being an expansion

Download cards. Not prepaid cards. Prepaid cards are for eShop credit. Download cards are for specific titles. Despite picturing the StreetPass Mii Plaza games, the credit is for the eShop and not for this specific title.

Ahhh, yeah, that's kind of a crucial difference. Still cool that they're featuring these on the cards, Japan is probably the only country that can properly take advantage of them :/

My obsevation: MH4 is currently 6,880 yen on Amazon by a 3rd party seller (MRSP is 5,990 yen). Amazon itself is expecting stock on Sep. 21.

Uh, that seems kinda excessive? Not that I'm complaining and maybe it helps with a Western release.

Also before it was announced everyone assumed Vita would be the platform to get a console version, what with Gung Ho being so... Gung Ho on the platform.

Try to find pictures from the launch of MHP3 back in December 2010. It was crazy.

There should be something similar happening in the next few hours.

Sucks there is only a month between Pokémon (and that it is a worldwide release) and MH. They are going to have to make A LOT of carts.
