I'm a lot more positive. Spike Chunsoft casually mentioning NX in the same breath as Steam when it comes to alternate Danganronpa platforms is an indication that Nintendo has to be doing something right. NX the platform hasn't even been officially revealed yet and we've had two publishers "accidentally" reveal games for it when they shouldn't have.
Also, NX is a platform, rather than a single system. The NX handheld will lift the NX console in terms of third party support. From everything we've heard so far from Iwata and Miyamoto it will have a unified software development environment which will make cross-platform games (and purchases) prevalent and sustainable due to the tangibly lower costs to porting and adapting a handheld game to console, and vice versa.
At the very least, Nintendo's biggest partners this gen (Atlus, Capcom, Namco, Level-5, Square Enix) will be on board.
NX probably stands for Nintendo Cross, as in "Cross Platform" and "Cross Development".
