Hey guys... don't wanna really change my post style here but just for the record I've been away from the site and unable to productively contribute because of life stuff. Promise I still love you all and am working on coming back. For those who know me this happens every few months or so, so nothing to worry about.

You’re a spy aren’t you? It’s alright, you can confess, 007. I won’t tell anybody.

It would explain the crazy number of follows.
I always just assumed he was just trying to ingratiate himself with the community early on by following as many people as possible. I got a notification about it, and just thought "oh hmm this new dude must like my posts or something." I didn't find it creepy really, I don't know what "following" users even does, probably just doing it for reactions. I have followed a few and I don't notice how that impacts anything. I just find this a weird sticking point, I'm not a big fan of his really, but I calling him a stalker for this is taking it a bit far perhaps.

Is this the shitposting thread or the thread where we quote 10 day old posts just to complain about people we don't like?
The latter would be more in line with the topic of the thread.

It amuses me that someone would actively follow that many people, but it is a quick way to keep tabs on active members reactions scores as the main list only features the top 20 if that was your particular fixation.

Really love that feature. It kind of turns Gaf into a social media site with a spotlight on users, rather than topics.

I love the more forum-like experience on regular Gaf, but sometimes it can be cool to see what all your favorites are up to.
Stalking SEGA fans is what I do sometimes.

Nah...I get on with all of them there.

I come here to see the gaming news and see the regulars talk about Clown World.

Today is "bring your kid to work" day. I had these 2 teenage boys sitting with me for a few minutes, asking me basic questions. The one kid's mom told them I was "a gamer", so one asked me "so you're a gamer? What do you play?" I'm like "mostly street fighter", pointing to my Ryu & Chun funkos. The kid is like "anything else?" lol.

The other kid asked if I had played Titanfall, I'm like no but I bought the second one for 10 bucks on amazon after seeing a cool speedrun of it. he's like "What's speed running?" These kids are like 14 or 15, I'm surprised they have never heard of speed running.

Bet they could do every Fortnite dance, however.

Can we please try and keep this thread on topic? Thanks

Gentlemen, we can rebuild it. We have the capability to make the world's first enhanced store. Steam will be that store. Better than it was before.

Now imagine literally every family function I've been to in the last 6 years.

"Oh your uncle jshackles made some sort of gaming doo-hickey online" -> cue all of my young nieces and nephews asking me what my favorite Fortnite weapon is.

Xaero, I don't find your posts funny or entertaining and certainly not informative apart from making me realize how desperate you are to increase your worthless reaction score. It's not happening, not from me, not ever. I'm not interested in what someone who still lives with his mother and plays video games to overcome his porn addiction has to say. Now go back to Off-Topic and continue pestering Arcadia to repair your virtual relationship despite it being obvious he no longer wants to associate with you.

Funkopops? Ewwww.

I'm more surprised the kids knew what Titanfall was.

I had 2 Genessisie as a kid
You were a kid during the PS3 generation and arguably still a kid at the start of the current console generation and you were playing Sega Genesis?

More evidence you are too poor to buy Nintendo consoles, hence the butthurt.

My offer still stands.

I got a PS3 when I was 16. I had a genesis, PS1 and a GBA as a kid. I got a gamecube and DS when I was 11 or 12. I bought a Wii when I was 14.

Yeah lol. I'm not a collector or anything, I just wanted a Ryu for my desk and the Funko SF characters look decent. I refuse to buy any other Funkos.
This is now a "show off the collectible shit on your desk at work" thread
