Grunting and pantingWe will definitely hear her, just probably not words.

yeah.Grunting and panting
anyone know whats up with the dithering on the hair textures in the fox engine stuff, seems like something which could easily be avoided/fixed seeing as no other next gen/current gen engines seem to suffer from it. just a bit odd.
only played 3, look forward to get this rolling on a PS4. hopefull i won't miss much story.
you should try the others if you get a chance.only played 3, look forward to get this rolling on a PS4. hopefull i won't miss much story.
You'll miss most of the context and residual consequences of what's happening. It's 4th in the chronology out of 10, so you're pretty much jumping in around the middle of the overall story lol
It would be like fighting with my reflection!
Did they say Skull Face was a 'returning' MGS villain? I recall they did say something about that.
KP Report didn't mention him as new or a returning character, same for Eli.Did they say Skull Face was a 'returning' MGS villain? I recall they did say something about that.
Has any one brought up how much Emmerich looks like David Hayter?

sadly no.
want to sign up to a mgs website and talk about it in detail?
I did not get the feeling that Skull Face has anything to do with Kaz reading the book.
Skull Face in the book is a snake charmer of men, using drugs to black mail the men's souls. This coupled with a mysterious power that binds them to him. He poisons all of the old secret society's with his charms, to create a new empire with him as there Messiah and slave master.
This sounds more like Zero or Gene, maybe even a new character all together.
But i think the Skull-Face in the book is hint to how the Skull Face in MGSV will be operating.
The way he explained it in the podcast made it sound like that's not the case. He said he knows people are gonna ask why is a sniper naked, that would only make her more visible in the desert. And he said that there's a reason why she does that, but he can't tell yet. And I think the black paint around her eyes disappearing is a hint of what her secret ability is.

Replaying MGS2 at the moment, probably going to make a RTTP thread.
The game starts to get at its best right when you meet the president. I might just be a sucker for when a story gets expansive or bigger, but when the president tells Raiden about Arsenal Gear and the purpose of Metal Gear Ray my mind is always blown.
I wonder if Code Talker will have any relation to Vulcan Raven.
Both seem to be Native American, and both seem to have Grey eyes.
I know that every character with similarities in MGS doesn't have to be related, but I thought it was at least interesting to bring up.
I brought that up earlier in this thread, based on you posting the Code Talker stuff.
My bad, I didn't see it before unfortunately; glad we're thinking on the same level though! Those two traits (especially grey eyes) really are interesting to me though. Seems like there's something to that.
I almost wish there was a Metal Gear community thread, but community threads being on a different forum tab destroys discussion for some reason.
Same.I would be down for sure.
As a hobby, Raven enjoyed trapping deer within Alaska's perilous Brooks Mountains. On one trip across the frozen Bering Strait to Siberia, Raven met then-GRU operative Revolver Ocelot.[4][5]
After that, he joined the Soviet special forces unit Vympel. After the fall of the Soviet Union, he was demoted along with other Vympel operatives following Boris Yeltsin's coup in 1993.[3] Raven decided to leave Russia and become a mercenary for hire, eventually joining Big Boss's mercenary dispatch company Outer Heaven. The destruction of Outer Heaven was FOXHOUND operative Solid Snake's first mission, but Raven and Snake did not meet on this occasion.
With Outer Heaven in ruins, Raven, on the recommendations of Revolver Ocelot, joined FOXHOUND himself, becoming the unit's heavy weapons/explosive ordnance specialist. During his FOXHOUND years, he excelled at using a portable modification of the M61A1 20mm multi-barreled autocannon (the origin of his codename), which is widely used on American military tactical aircraft, such as the F-16.
Quiet: could the eye shadow be a representation of two personalities? A sort of non-literal thing to distinguish one from another? We've seen this before, kind of.
Her facial expression softens up quite a bit as soon as the shadow disappears.
Possible explanation for the torture, to force the other personality out (her stockings are still torn in the eye shadow scene).
MGS already had a character like that.Quiet: could the eye shadow be a representation of two personalities? A sort of non-literal thing to distinguish one from another? We've seen this before, kind of.

Didn't see that, my bad. That's what I was aluding to, but didn't want to ruin it for anyone interested in the game!
Hope we have some good ones, only thing Peace Walker really needed.I think the zombie guys are Gekkou precursors. Biological "machine" soldiers. I think this might actually be a significant part of the story. They jump like the Gekkous.
I think the story might revolve around the idea of biological "humanoid" machines being more powerful than mechanical ones, like Metal Gear.
Zero might be doing things in Africa related to the child soldiers. It's easy to see how it could connect to Solid/Liquid, Solidus, Raiden, the child soldiers, Metal Gear, Outer Heaven, etc.
Also, no bosses seem to have been revealed so far, other than potentially Skull Face. The others all appear to be allies.

That's damn good speculation. I'll tell you what they remind me of, though... What if these guys are the precursor to Black Ninja, the precursor to Grey Fox?

you reminded me that its probably time forFox to show back up
Sounds likely, exoskeleton development. Sweet.
And mind control or something too, they've got numbers on their forehead don't they?

That could be cool actually. She could have octocam chameleon ability, insert Kojima plot devise to explain how it works.
Though it would seem a little redundant. I much rather see something new...
I would have her do something like be able to change her skins Contrast, thus altering her luminescence and pigmentation. This would make her indistinguishable when sniping, and hide her in both the shadows and the highlights of any particular environment she finds her self in.
The appearance of her race could change as well, this would add to her infiltration/assimilation in to a local area of any of her missions.
Got another theory on Snake choking Chico.
Could something have happened to Amanda that Snake couldn't stop, leading to a pissed Chico trying to attack Snake when he comes to rescue him? He seems to be gently choking him... Also when they're dissecting Paz, it looks like Chico's there too, so we know they reconcile.
I don't remember what happens to Chico/Amanda at the end of PW.
Bandage man, we've entertained the possibility of him being a Johnny right? MGS3 Johnny's son? This generation of Johnny hasn't featured in a game has he? He also shows his ass crack, pretty strong evidence.
I still think it's going to be Kaz using his guile to really throw Big Boss down a path he doesn't want to go down, and that Snake is going to be fighting against this in his mind, but we'll just have to wait and see.
PC running on PS3 specs, so expect a current gen downgrade, and a next gen upgrade.I just wish Kojima productions could go out with more clear information about this title. I want to know how the PS4 version will look like. Cause what we hav seen so far is for PS3 right?
