Have you played the GBA Metroids? They're very fast.
Yeah but the original trilogy wasn't like that at all.
Metroid 1 is probably the closest when compared to the other games, it's very fast but if you run willy nilly you'll get killed in no time.
Metroid 2 forced a slower pace with screen estate being at such a premium.
Super Metroid was also way slower than its GBA brethren with the level design forcing players to think about how they would tackle progression. There weren't that many hallways where you could run and not care about what happened.
Not saying it's bad here but it's different.
Better make your peace because this isn't going to play like Metroid 2 at all.
