the only problems i see with all of this is the # of people flooding the servers attempting to acquire one for ebay, and #2 my pure disgust from ordering an item from a website that is not amazon.com :lol


after the konami id disaster my faith in anything internet website related to them has fallen to its lowest expectations!

i cancelled my ncsx preorder once the us console was announced, and the only reason i did was based on dvd region playback and the 100$ difference (well assumed at the time) ....if i can not get my hands on this one i will let it walk away because i really did not want a 40gb non bc unit.....ill just hug my 60gb until then

Compared to NCSX or Play-Asia $599 is a bargain plus it would play region 1 Blu-ray.

Uh you do know that the Japanese and Asian PS3s play the same Blu-rays as the North American ones right?

Blu-ray just has 3 regions, A, B, and C.

Damn I just snapped that iots 600 for a 40gig, I thought 40gigs were 500 so I saw this as a great deal. Now I snapped that 40gigs are 400 and I'm like wow... That sucks.

Would be more worht it if the LE came with a action figure(ala Bioshock) + the MGS headset.

I was planning on getting this version (wanted a non-glossy PS3- hate fingerprints and the like- and the LE MGS4 edition) but I don't think I will now. I would have even taken it if they had given us a 40GB version with BC or the 60GB, but, as it stands, I don't want this.

The models I stated are only sold as 40 GB models. They can't play PlayStation 2 games, nor can they play S-DVDs to begin with.
