Been using it for 3 years, shit service. Solely because it fucks up your xbox.com account. It's a pain in the ass and always gets stuck in redirect loops when logging in/out. Google's solution to multiple accounts is way more thought out.

Signed up, it's nice to "own" my name on the service in case I ever decide to switch to it. Don't think that will be happening any time soon though, my Gmail account is too deeply integrated with my life (and my phone). Seems a lot nicer than Hotmail though, for sure.

It's not even about gmail vs outlook. Gmail isn't just email it's the entry point for the entire google platform for most people. It looks like microsoft is starting to understand the value of the platform but they're still 10 years behind google.

Hotmail cookies suck ass. Go to a Microsoft site like Xbox or something and see if you are logged in there. Completely log out of everything, clear your cookies and see if that works.

Loving it. Got my Gmail and Hotmail set up so I'll probably use it as my main web mail site as it's the fastest and cleanest I've used. Everyone saying they like it but won't even leave Gmail, it takes 2 seconds to set it up to pull in your gmail emails.

I set it up in mail with

Incoming Server (POP3 Server): pop3.live.com
Outgoing Server (SMTP Server): smtp.live.com

edit: incoming works, looks like I need to figure out outgoing

Oh most definitely. I dont plan to use this, but I grabbed my handle@outlook and my name@outlook. I always do, you never know. I use my business email address for business though, it all forwards to my GMail inbox, so Im not sure Ill make use of the addresses I reserved, but just in case, grabbed them anyway.
