Millenials have weaker grip strength than previous generations.

What about us Gen-X people ? Apart from having the best name of course.

Mother fuckers it's generation-X (super heroes/paranormal/extreme) boom!!!

I have small wrists. The other day, I was surprised when a younger dude who must have 50lbs on me, asked me to open a jar for him... lol

I got it open with my baby wrists.

I am willing to believe it. I've always had terrible grip strength.

On the other hand, I'd bet that millenials trounce previous generations when it comes to finger dexterity. You gain some you lose some.

Why does anyone give a shit about handshake strength?
I have a strong grip and I'd rather have the other person being so silly as to believe me shaking without much strength is an indictment of my character rather than hurting someone.

This was an inevitability with a large swath of the population spending most of their days on computers, not moving or physically exerting themselves, rather than doing manual labor.

hey baby boomers check out this special grip

Look at the pain in that guys eyes. All the effort to hold that pose. Wait a minute you just found a picture of a guy swearing. Instead of actually swearing. Probably limited motion in your hands from holding your mobile and texting and what ever you non Gen-X people do.

I am joking btw. Boomers fucked us over too,but you Narcissistic selfie taking cry babies get all the sympathy credit.

Opens a jar of pickles.

Is it odd that I actually weaken my grip when I handshake a baby boomer? I seriously think that if I go full strength I might break their hand when dealing with them. They look so frail sometimes and it even has become habitual.

Grip strength is not terribly relevant in today's world. If it is (for opening jars or something) then design a solution.. Like, easier to open jars.

Millennials are better than previous generations in most other ways so it seems like a good trade.

at work we had a group of people coming from villages surounding my city. They had bigger forearms so i assume better grip. It was quite noticable. Most of them were not even farmers.. but i assume it has something to do with better social harmony so they help each other constantly.. moving hous, helping on someone's farm etc. So they get stronger naturally.

People tell me i need to calm down with my grip.

Whenever new people shake my hand they're pretty much like
"That grip tho"😲

Having a strong grip is the one thing in life i can say with confidence. 👋👋

We are the forgotten generation, the bridge between the old and the new.

Misunderstood by both.

Wiser than millennials, those still young enough to think they are the best at everything and unappreciative of what previous generations did to put them in the position where they can casually shit over everything that's gone before.

More in touch than boomers, our comfort with technology allowing us to segue easily into the post-millenial world without feeling left behind.

We have lived through the fallout of the boomers' self-indulgence, with little money and few of the opportunities available to the modern youth.

We learned to navigate life before technology became so ubiquitous that social norms changed entirely, yet we are still comfortable straddling the gap between these worlds.

Neither boomer nor millennial cares about us gen-Xers for we are both and we are neither.

Stand with me brother, and together we shall gaze proudly into the middle distance while basking in the bizarre mix of optimism and cynicism that characterises our generation. For we truly are the last of us.

You have my sword.

How do baby boomers compare to people from the 1800s or even before though? What about prehistoric men. Those guys must have been pretty strong.

The creepy, weak handshakes are the worst. Get a small bit of vomit at the back of my throat just thinking about it

Limp handshakes are the fucking worst. It was the last day of class and my professor shook my hand. It was so awkward. His handshake was so limp and weak, I was just like wtf. I still remember it because it was so fucking bad.

Every Gen-Xer needs to get this tattooed

What an odd study to conduct. But hey that's science, sometimes these weird observations lead to great discoveries.

When were you born?

I would love to find out that a large percentage of the proclaimed Gen-Xers in this thread, shitting on millenials, were born in like 1985 +/- 2 or so years.
