Pikmin 3 still my favorite Wii U game & one of the best of this gen IMO.

I think it's pretty obvious at this point that Nintendo has been getting their games lined up for the NX launch for quite a while already. They definitely learned their lesson by launching the 3DS and then the Wii U without killer apps. Pikmin 4 better be at the best their third or fourth most important launch game though. They need Zelda, Mario and for the love of god get a Pokemon game out.

If they did it this fast it's built with Pikmin 3 assets a la Pikmin 1 -> Pikmin 2 and is a Wii U game. Which is fine with me because that game is gorgeous and needed expansion.

I've been looking for an excuse to replay pikmin 3! I adore that game, hands down my favorite pikmin. Took the best parts from pikmin 1 and 2 and put them into one game. I really hope the next one is more puzzle/exploration based and doesn't have the randomly generated dungeons from 2.
