Awww WiiU exclusive!? Definitely a system seller if it is.
Any chance it will be on the 360, PC or PS3?
none of these.
Wii Classic Controller is the best controller by far (at least if you're used to past games, otherwise you may not have some of our difficulties to adjust to that new button layout).
It sure is for me.Awww WiiU exclusive!? Definitely a system seller if it is.
Apparently yes.classic controller works on wiiu ?
classic controller works on wiiu ?
Time to start hunting again.
^^^ I believe it does but don't quote me.
My biggest concern is that using the Bow and Bowgun on the 3DS will be gimped due to the lack of dual analogue sticks ( no running and aiming simultaneously) I know there's a solution, but the Circle Pad Pro on an XL scares me and ruins the portability in my eyes.
Well Wiimotes works with Wii U =p, just sync it up, connect the controller and you can use it.
Well there is a comfortable claw solution with the digital dpad.
Oh God, not the claw??

Probably only as a means to hook a Classic Controller in. I'd have to look into it though, but I imagine the Wii Remote + Nunchuk controls of the original were mainly there because they couldn't FORCE you to buy the CC to play it, but this time you have at least the Game Pad, so screw putting motion controls in to placate a very small, odd minority.Wait Wiimotes work with Tri Ultimate?

The wiimote + nunchuck contols were truly great and intuitive, I played the game at least as good using those as with the classic controller. They didn't use motion controls in the usual sense but they did require you to move your wrists a little bit. Attacks still employed the attack buttons but the effects were different depending on if you angled the Wiimote left or right. So, to do combos with the great sword you alternated between left and right tilt while mashing the A button, to do the slash + dodge right or left move with the longsword you angled right or left and pressed +, etc. The only issue was that the button placement isn't ideal, for example said + is a little awkward to press, but I'd say it's no more awkward than + on the classic controller anyway. Anyway, the controls are great regardless of the device used. I'll be a little sad if the option isn't included in Ultimate. As far as i can remember Tri barely had motion controls to begin with (Im not even sure it had any).

Anyone remember Tri's use of the IR in the Wiimote XD, grab an information page from a monster XD, did anyone even realised that?

Well it's on the right side so it's just a slightly unfortunately placed d-pad camera, not an OG claw

He probably just meant that reaching into the touch screen isn't exactly as comfortable as a right stick in a normal controller, but of course still much better than a claw.Pretty sure you can move that around, so you can put it where it feels most comfortable.
I know most people don't seem to agree, but give the game 20 hours before you make up your mind about it. It's worth the investment.
I'll probably put in quite a bit more than thatBut I'll keep that in mind.

Sounds good. MH just has a steep learning curve that doesn't do the game justice.

What needs to be learned exactly? Using certain weapons on specific monsters and such? I really don't know THAT much about this series.

Well, learning each weapon is already complicated enough. I'd post gunlanceflowcjart.jpg but I'm on mobile. Then there's learning a monster, then after that how to use your weapon type on that monster. What needs to be learned exactly? Using certain weapons on specific monsters and such? I really don't know THAT much about this series.

Okay, we've gonna have to use the phrase:
"Does someone come...?"
For our GAF Monster Hunter, party requests XD, I'm guessing they translated that text literally XD.
Is there any reason Gamestop isn't listing the 3DS game?

Don't know. My guess was they were waiting for the actual date to be announced. It was revealed yesterday so maybe they'll put it up soon.
"We are speaking with certain retailers about some small savings for consumers if they preorder both SKUs and pick up both 3DS and Wii U SKUs at the same time on the same receipt but there's nothing solid on that yet. First step is that Gamestop needs to set up the 3DS SKU which we've been asking them to do since we announced the game in September. Now that we've announced a date I'd expect that to happen quickly. That's what we call a "soft bundle" in the business, but there's no single package SKU that will include both platforms (a hard bundle)."
