This was a disaster, and enough of one that NRS will lose my future business unless they absolutely deliver on future support.

(and it might take an effort similar to what Stardock did with Elemental to win me back)

I don't know about this downscaling thing so someone can fix that if they want.

Pretty smooth performance on my 3570k/770. Solid 60fps.

Only glitch was the FPS dropping to 30fps after going to the menu to check out *****s/fatalities. Hopefully that will be addressed in a patch.

I got into a King of the Hill match but the game crashed.

Pretty much make sure all your drivers are up to date and close everything that is nonessential.

Ok, I seem to have fixed that by changing the game back to fullscreen from the Nvidia program. Now it's running fine at 60fps in battle at the settings the game itself optimized EXCEPT for the main menu which was the raining temple, but the stage itself had no problems.

I'm on a laptop with GeForce GTX 860M, i7-4710HQ CPU @ 2.5GHz, and 8GB of RAM.

They should let you turn the rain off in the Sky Temple stage. I turned everything off and it still can't run at 60 fps.

Any idea if this will run the game at min. settings?

Hurray, I've just managed to play story mode for about 2.5 hours without crashing. After consulting the event viewer I realised I was crashing due to my CPU overclock, for some reason MKX requires more vcore than any other game, or any benchmark to be stable. Once I upped the vcore no more crashing.

I'm really enjoying story mode, it's more like an interactive film. It's giving me an excuse to learn multiple characters as well which is nice. So far Sub Zero is my favourite, but there's a few others I've enjoyed as well.

After the awful launch I'm finally happy, the game is running at 60fps rock solid on max, I'm no longer crashing, all modes and characters are unlocked and the game is really good. Tomorrow I will try out multiplayer, hopefully the netcode is good. I no longer regret my purchase.

Solid performance here at 1920x1080 with all settings on high or on.

Get solid 60 fps in combat, aside from those pesky xray and fatality movies capped at 30.

Intel i5 2500k @ 4.5
Gtx 680 2 gb
16 gb ram

My framerate fluctuated from 50-60 in a fight. If it's possible to lock in a framerate in a ini file somewhere I'm wondering if it might feel a tad smoother by just locking it to 50. I'll admit I'm not sure if locking to an odd framerate like 50 will have any other issues.

Perfect 60fps maxed out 16x AF with a 970 and i5 4690K @1080p. Shame about the 30fps stuff, but the main fighting is what's important and it looks glorious to me.

Ok, playing very smoothly when I join "rooms". No lag at all. If i join KOTH directly then the game instantly crashes.

I love these forums but man do people overreact.

I just tried this game out for the first time. No issues at all. 3570 at 4.3, GTX 780. 1080p 60fps rock solid throughout. 30fps on xrays, etc but it's not jarring, it's perfectly fine. Maybe I'm used to it from consoles but gdamn people calm down and try it out yourself before getting crazy about it.

Does the Mobile App work with the PC? I know MGS5 mobile app doesn't work with PC. Injustice app works with PC. I couldn't link my WBID to my WBPlay to use it with MKXMobile. I don't know if anyone did since many are having that problem and that problem = no extra costumes and stuff unlocked and aslo less money unlock for the PC/Console version = Useless ! Injustice app never had that probelm.

You guys think a GTX 660 can handle this game on settings comparable to Xbone/PS4? Hoping to grab it when it goes on sale later or when all the issues with crashing and stuff get resolved.

Hows the PC online? Not sure if I should go PC or PS4.
Honestly, I'd encourage you to go PS4 simply to avoid supporting High Voltage Games.

At the moment, outside of higher resolution support, there isn't much to separate the two versions so you don't see the usual PC benefits here.

I wish there were more resolutions supported.

Frankly the only reason I bought it was because I don't think i'll even buy a PS4.

Thanks. Went PS4 and it looks and runs beautiful.

Bumped shadows down to high along with everything else on/high and seems to run a pretty smooth 60 now. With shadows maxed it was still running 50-60, but this is more stable, and I couldn't really see much difference between the 2 settings. This is on a 860M, i7 4810, 8GB RAM installed to SSD.

Performance is quite good, and honestly a lot better than I feared after everyone got out the pitchfork safter the streaming preload debacle. Can't vouch for online since I probably won't touch it much (unless I have a hankering to get my ass kicked) but the single player seems to work quite well.

I think people just want this game to burn because of the preload debacle. They are using that as a reason to call this a shitty port when its no where near as bad as DoA5.

I really can't believe how lag free online is.

Ok, so the launch was a nightmare. But now we have:

- great graphics, 60fps on modest hardware (660 & up)
- lag free online with lots of players (my experience)
- story mode, towers and training working

Very happy!!

Biggest issue for me is the game switching to 30fps once I pull up the menu.

How many people online? Is it easy to find games?

If it's really lag free I'll definetly buy the PC version instead of waiting for the PS3 one.

Have this downloading now. There's someone selling it for $25 in the B/S/T thread, and that was just too good of a deal for me to pass up.

If anyone wants to play some matches, here's my Steam profile. I'm pretty shit at MK, but I enjoy it regardless.

I played last night, well over 300 people playing in "rooms". More in other modes. Haven't seen steam stats. I challenged other people and was challenged, game loads pretty much instantly. I didn't encounter any lag.

Ps4 and Xbone will have much bigger communities.

Did anyone who bought this outside steam (like cdkey) get a separate key for goro? It one code and my goro is locked even though the website said game and goro.

Btw have okays great and online has been fine. Don't believe the haters

Have they fixed the xrays and fatalities yet? / Is it possible they will?

I just had it crash when I performed an x-ray in my first match. Better than the first time I loaded it up, where it crashed when I hit the character select screen.

Game was running really well before the crash, though! Smooth 60 with everything maxed, although I wasn't downsampling. Just 1080p.

edit: doing a fatality crashed my computer. wow.

What do you mean down sampling? What is that?

Downsampling is when you render a game at a higher resolution than your monitor and have your GPU rescale it to the appropriate size. This thread breaks it down and has examples of the effect it can have on image quality.

I downsampled MKX from 1440p when I tried playing it a second time, but it gave me framerates in the 20s before crashing during a fatality.

edit: doing an x-ray completely crashed my PC. This is unplayable for me.

I tried online, played one game then CTD. Is anyone else crashing online?

Been reading a bit on the steam boards (thinking about buying this cheap), can any AMD card users comment on this.

A see a number of people running things like R9 270/280/290's etc and they seem to be reporting that on the jungle stage and the temple stage (the one with the rain) that there is FPS drops (not x-ray/fatality drops, general drops to like 40ish FPS during fights) - anyone here running a R9 280x getting drops on the jungle stage?.

There is quite a few posts about AMD performance issues, and its really putting me off even if it is only on 1 or 2 stages.

Is anyone able to make the game run in 21:9 resolutions? I can select 2560x1080 but the screen doesn't change sadly.

I almost finished a fatality without my PC crashing. Playing as D'Vorah. Everything was good until she stomped the skull.

I think I'll just stick to GTA V.

It's so crappy that you can't play at resolutions lower than native in full screen :[ Is there a workaround to this?

Game is great on my pc. The only downside is the 30 fps cutscenes - the transition is so jarring. No crashing or online issues on my side.

Other than that, smooth as helll and looks great.

Looks like I can't play this game reliably. Even at 1366x768 with every setting at its lowest I can't get a solid 60 FPS. Sometimes it even dips to 49 when things get intense. I suppose I can enjoy story mode and even training but this is so lame.

Here are my laptop's specs for those curious.

Ram: 12GB DDR3 Ram
CPU: Intel Core i7-3635QM quad core @2.4 GHz
GPU: AMD Radeon HD 8870M 2GB GDDR5 Ram@850 MHz

You mean when you pick a resolution and things suddenly zoom in to crazy degrees? No idea. If you mean that the image you see is in a black box I think it's in one of the options.

I mean the black box :0 I don't recall seeing any option for that. Will check later today.
