Most Anticipated Game of 2011: Winner Revealed!

If I had only one vote, I'd say TERA. Give me that breath of fresh air, MMO market needs it badly.

Also, Dark Souls.

My top 3:
Uncharted 3- Seriously, the beta rocks and the SP looks fantastic already.
Assassin's Creed Revelations: I'm gay for Ezio and his killing ways and I do not apologize for it!
Dues Ex/Gears 3: This is a tie because Gears is a series of good gameplay and cheesy story but fun to play nonetheless. Deus Ex looks amazing as well as the whole scifi espionage conspiracy angle it has, but after seeing the trailers and gameplay, I can't help but feel as if there should be a movie or mini series to go along with the game.

Red orchestra 2.
Or if trackmania 2 is out this year, that.

Surprised to see all the UC3 mentions, UC1 barely got the light of day when it was released, and the second game was more of the same and suddenly it got hyped.

What a little (much) extra advertising can do I guess.

you been living in a cave...?

U2 is probably the most critically appraised game this gen... and deservedly so in my opinion. Good that you set the record straight though. Lord knows, the world needs another "voice of reason"

I know it's just the number one choice that counts, but to give this a bit of context and also to illustrate how freakin' awesome the rest of the year is looking...

18. Jurassic Park: The Game
17. Ratchet & Clank: All 4 One
16. Batman: Arkham City
15. NeverDead
14. Twisted Metal
13. Rayman Origins
12. Machinarium (PS3)
11. Amy
10. Sonic Generations
9. The Splinter Cell Trilogy: HD Collection
8. Catherine
7. The Silent Hill HD Collection
6. The Team ICO Collection
5. El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron
4. Journey
3. Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception
2. Max Payne 3

1. Silent Hill: Downpour

As per expected, considering the avatar I suppose. Why is it my most anticipated title for the remainder of the year? For a myriad of reasons really, that all combine to form one big reason. I'm going through a survival horror phase right now and the genre is being so neglected that any horror game with a budget these days piques my interest. Downpour involves a few of the same people that worked on Shattered Memories, which I loved to bits. One of SM's strong elements was its story, and seeing as how its writer Tom Waltz penned the script for Downpour that's all the more reason to be excited. The whole premise of which really intrigues me as well: having a convict and all the suggested negative aspects that brings enter Silent Hill is a masterful storytelling device. The game looks beautiful, it's open-ended with 15-20 side-quests, Dan Licht appears to be doing a good job filling Yamaoka's shoes, they've got McGlynn back for a collaboration; I can't wait to see where it all goes.

Guild Wars 2 (assuming it makes 2011).

I can't imagine how amazing it will be to play an MMO that does away with all the crap I hated about WoW (sub, class restrictions, selfish mindset, need for groups for anything).

Awwwww yeah! Team Uncharted well and truly overtaking team Zelda now.

Enjoy your babby games with no choices, suckers! Us men will be pondering whether or not to break into homes in Skyrim! And consulting our pre-order maps to plan on where to go next!

Of all the great titles of 2011's epic, wallet-raping fall, I guess I'll go with
Saints Row The Third
I expect it to deliver the most fun.

My Top 10 Anticipated List would probably look like...

1. Battlefield 3
2. Skyrim
3. Uncharted 3
4. Deus Ex: Human Revolution
5. Batman: Arkham City
6. Catherine
7. Gears of War 3
8. Dead Island
9. El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron
10. Twisted Metal

Another vote for the legend of freaking Zelda and its skyward sword of joy and Happiness.

The 5 year wait is almost over.

the fuzzy feeling of a snowy december, with a fireplace lit up in your living room, cup of coffee, wrapped in my bed sheets 10:00 AM in the morning, 2 free christmas weeks, no responsibilities, booting the new zelda and taking a couple of hours to figure out a dungeon..AHAHAHAHAHAHAH, few things in life feel as good as that.

I can't fucking wait. :D
