Most impressive 3D-Games for the Sega Saturn

Not 3D games but these look like they'd be worth fan translating. But also a massive task I suppose. Very interesting looking strategy games with not exactly impressive game visuals but otherwise rad production values with full anime sequences, story scenes, portraits, dialogues, etc.

The first one is turn based space fleet strategy deal and the second is more squad level RTS with mechs and other cool stuff. I just came across someone playing through the first game so looked into them and the second game especially was a big surprise to me. Stylish stuff for sure.

Apparently they went bankrupt soon after these lol. But they did release a reimagined version of the first game on PlayStation and were planning a 3rd game that never happened. That version looks pretty rad and very different to this too with much nicer 3D ships and a hex board instead.

Even the anime stuff seem different, maybe it's why they went bankrupt, redoing all this stuff which was already great (though the internet seems to think this version of the game is actually much better, deeper, longer than the original simpler title, I guess I want this and the Saturn sequel) 🤷‍♂️

I think Tiburon Entertainment don't get enough credit, their 3D on the Saturn was amazing and better ,reall,y than the PS1 versions of Madden 97/8 and Strike. I was playing Sovit Strike the other day on the Saturn and even the FMV is right up there with the best on PS1. What an amazing codec EA had there

Huh, hadn't paid attention to Solo Crisis before, looks pretty interesting with the scrolling SRPG-like engine for a god-game and the whole upside down world deformation stuff. Apparently kinda tied to the Actraiser games. Hope we get a translation some day.
