Thank you! 31 pages for this gif to come up? C'mon GAF..
Because I'm totally confused, did he confirmed the fact that FFVIIR is real?

Ok let's say it's real, do you think it will be announced during Sony's or Square's conference ?
Omfg
Personally I would be expecting a remaster-esque remake by someone like Virtuos.
Higher resolution backgrounds with much newer looking character and enemy models, but nothing resembling something Ike Final Fantasy XV.

Can't give my word on the crazy Shenmue rumours but the FF VII remake is a real thing. They started production a few months ago and it will be announced this week for a 2017 release.
The Last Guardian is coming back too, Sony PR guys are giving appointments to the press and they plan to release it during the holiday season since Uncharted 4 is delayed until 2016.

I would be completely happy with something like this. In fact, depending on how much of the original game they'd change with an actual, proper modern remake, the remaster might be preferrable even.Personally I would be expecting a remaster-esque remake by someone like Virtuos.

How exactly do you decide this?
Personal opinion: VII hits closer to home, and just generally feels more adult to me.
It deals with a capitalistic dystopia (instead of an intangible fantasy "empire"), rampant genetic modification, the outsourcing of armed forces to financial interests, and the tragedy that comes after you've traded the health and resources of your community away for a quick buck (ties to "Big Oil" and the fracking industry in rural US).
The game picks up in its own World of Ruin. Of the characters who aren't totally washed up failures already, one dies, one has horrible self-esteem issues, and the other is the Princess of a town/country that has been reduced to a tourist destination. Cloud, the badass on the cover with the big ass sword, went away with big dreams of making something of himself and came home the biggest failure of the entire cast.
VI picks up when the Big Bad wins. VII starts off in a world where the Big Bad won a long time ago, and there's nothing you can do about it. It's heavy, and in a way that connects way more to what I consider mature themes and story beats. Not edgy "mature", though there is some of that, but human mature.

I'm gonna go with this too, just in case the highly improbable likelihood of a full on remake actually is happening. That why I can be pleasantly surprised if it's true.Personally I would be expecting a remaster-esque remake by someone like Virtuos.

This one too.
No, Y2kev is saying the person has given enough evidence that he is in a position where he would/should know something. Mods can't verify the veracity of the every rumour itself.

square for sure. No point leaving that kind of megaton out of your own conference. Unless Sony paid moneys for it.
Sony's. This is the type of megaton they'd want
