Haha! Maybe.... I've been thinking about it. Maybe it'll come back before E3. Meanwhile jiji has set up the usual Namakoteam E3 feed, we're going to be updating with related news all the way to E3. :D

I know the movement is dying but... BUY DYNASTY WARRIORS 5 EMPIRES! :lol

Seriouslly man, you have some issues you need to take care off. And know what's sad? N3 is crappy....but still better than Dw....wich is a testament to how crappy DW is. Because it IS really crappy.

DW5:Empires kicks the shit out of any of the pretenders, hell DW5:Empires stomps the shit outta DW5 as well!

Oh noes!

that said, look at this from their N3 preview:

Dragons fly through the skies, bombarding those below in flames, armies storm down hills in the hundreds, and archers launch so many arrows that at times it almost feels like being in the rain.

there are dragons in this thing?

yes there are dragons, but you can barely see them and they are just lame

i finally beat fartballs story mode and i have to say if you havent mastered the pound their ass maneuver then you will die countless times. Its sad the only way ot get through this part of the game is to pin the guy to the wall and hit him in the ass over and over and over and over. His ending sucks and is totally uneventful. I thought he would be some integral part in the story but its just some stupid revenge story.

anyway as i suspected tiruru sucks and has the most useless dash ever (especially against that fucking troll). The jewish guy is pretty sweet except his first mission is a fucking escort. and you have to escort these dumbass humans that walk really slow and die very quickly.
i dont want to protect humans i wanna kill goblins

the more i play this the more i think that the director korean guy and miz were thinking two totally different things with this game and didnt talk enough about what was going in the game. they probably started designing this game thinking that they would only letthe player play as humans so they didnt even bother programming in army controlls for fartballs. also there are alot more varied goblin units than there are human units (the ones you can pick and then they reuse some boss models to fill in the "leader" positions)

humans have no equivalent dragons or magicians or trolls or frogs or orcs or anything really.

anyway, i still hate this game but im going to finish it god danmt  and i wont stop bitching till its over! and then ill probably still bitch for a little while after its over!

edit: if you honestly think N3 is better than DW any version then please shoot yourself in the face righ tnow.

:lol Is there anyone here who has actually PLAYED N3 that thinks otherwise? It seems to be another case of blind fanboyism refusing to let people believe this game isn't all that.

The smart thing to do would be to sell the game off now and buy it back later once it sees a massive price drop, but for some reason, I'm going to keep it. What's wrong with me?

The day I let 1up do my thinking for me is the day icicles will be hanging off of the Devil's nose.

I'm just curious how many people actually played the Dynasty Warrior games they review. Funny that whenever I play them, the reviewers always seem to miss out on a bunch of features.

sp0rsk, I can't believe you're still hating on the game after Dwingvatt's story.
It was so much fun.
I didn't die once either... you must be too used to spazzy DW gameplay :p The best thing about Dwingvatt is that he can get out of any situation really quickly, so with bosses, you want to dash in their, get a few critical swipes in, and dash out. Also, his mega orb attack that makes you run at 100mph is insane.

Sad to hear that Tyurru's stuff is not good... kind of expected though, as the character is 12 years old! I didn't start it yet, but I'll try tonight if I have time.

Oh yeah, for me, N3 > DW. I just don't like DW games.

Nearly every DW review reads like they played the game for an hour and decided it was just like the rest anyway, so why not just write a review saying it's just like the rest? Any DW fan that's put real time into the game can tell right away that they have no idea what they're talking about.

The only really boneheaded thing about DW5E is Normal (which most people are going to choose by default) is too easy, when the entire game is really set up to be played on Chaos. On normal you can just bash the attack button and ignore just about every feature of the Empires side of things, and still win. Chaos makes you use actual strategy.

Nice to see you around, Ammadeau. :)

DW4E was sort of like this on normal, though it was still harder than 5E's Normal. I didn't really have to get my fingers into 4E's strategy until I played it on hard. All the strategy I've been using in my co-op game of 5E has just made it that much more ridiculously easy. I'm looking forward to skipping straight to Chaos after finishing this run through.

Has there been any word on a US release for Sengoku Musou 2? I'm sure it'll come, but I don't think Koei USA haven't said a peep yet. Hopefully they'll preserve the dual language options like what SW1 had.

Thanks. I've been lurking for a while... because that's how long it took for the mods to approve my account. *rimshot*
I mean, you obviously must be mistaking me for someone else, possibly a one-armed man... hiding behind a curtain... in umm, wonderland.

Yeah, skip hard. I played through it and while it was a little more difficult, it still wasn't much of a challenge in the end. I seemed to get too powerful too soon and the other nations couldn't really match me. Chaos is pure viciousness though, and took me a while just to get my little kingdom up to a decent size while playing the other three major powers against each other. I let Sun Ce get a bit too big near the beginning and spent so long making up for that mistake.

Just a little warning though, an unleveled general on Chaos will die in three hits from an enemy general. My first fight was an allied defense working for Cao Cao and it was a desperate fight from start to finish, but we won in the end. Once you get some levels in, you'll surivive for longer, but you still can't go all Lu Bu on everyone, and expect to keep your head on your shoulders. I wish it had a little more of the strategic depth from the ROTTK series, but still great fun.

Apparently to be announced at E3. All signs point to summer though.

I started Tyurru and Klarrann campaigns last night.
After the enjoyment of Myifee and Dwingvatt... :(

At least I actually finished one of Tyurru's missions - the second mission I got near the end and got ripped to shreds by the gang of orcs. Those spikes on the ground don't help a great deal.

As for Klarrann - first mission, escort helpless villagers out of the goblin invasion. I get to the villagers and they're dead. Mission failed. Good night, Xbox.

yeah the villiagers fucking suck

and actually i kind of like tyurrus missions a little, the spikes are fucking stupid though.

funny thing happened while playing with her though, it seems like whenever i fight those giant trolls they bug out and stand still. The first one i was fighting ran over to a tree and just stood there and i shot it till it died. really weird. it happened again on the second stage.

anyway basically tyurru is mash x as fast as you can, fly away, mash x as fast as you can.

but atleast you dont have to worry about your stupid army.

i hate when items go behind invisible walls and i hate how you cant walk through the dead body of a giant troll. especially when its the boss of hte stage and he drops a nice item.

Yeah, that's really annoying. I had a very amusing glitch yesterday while doing a video of Asphaar's second level. At the end when Inphyy is running somewhere during the big boss fight, I saw Asphaar's character model zip through the field (all during the cutscene) at like 100 miles per hour. When I went back to gameplay, I was at the other side of the battlefield. Weird.
This game definitely could have used a few more weeks of fine tuning. Hopefully they'll take the time to fix all this for the US/PAL release. I'm still having fun, thankfully.

Wow, the last character is so much fun... and bizarrely brings some kind of sanity to the story. Everything's coming together just in time for the final mission. But it's insanely hard... you get your ass kicked so quickly by regular enemies.

id like to be sharing in the fun with you but it appears i have hit a bug that does not allow me to play aspharr or inphys last missions nor does it allow me to unlock the secret character

How did you play as Tyurru and the others if you couldn't unlock Aspharr's last mission?
You get the hidden char after you beat both Tyurru and Klarrann, by the way. Or maybe you have to beat the game as everyone... Inphyy's last mission doesn't open up until you beat the game with the last char though.

Edit: have you screwed your saves up?

Whoa whoa whoa... slow down.
There is no extra aspharr mission. The
other world
mission is Inphyy only. As for good/bad endings, I didn't even know there were two endings for him. What's the deal with this? I know there's two routes, but I don't think that affects anything storywise.

The hidden character should appear when you beat Tyurru and Klarrann and it has nothing to do with Aspharr at all. If you're saving all your chars in separate save slots, there shouldn't be an issue. Or are you saving them in the same slot? :(

i have 6 different saves. yeah theres a good and a bad ending with aspharr, as to how it impacts the storyline i have no idea. I guess i should just beat it with klarrann again and wait through the credits...

Oh... what are they? I only saw the one where
Inphyy dies near the end of the mission, then you go and kill Dickfario
.

Yeah, that seems to be the message that MS's FAQ is sending out. It sounds like a pretty retarded bug though. After the credits, did you just turn off your machine? I always unlock the char data from the gallery, so maybe that helped me out with a quick state save or something.

theres one where aspharr
keeps inphyy from killing dickfario and she gets enveloped in a white light instead of a black light from her original ending

i usually just skip the credits by pressing start haha.

I just finished Inphyy's campaign and I'm at the last level with Asphaar. This last level is really annoying. I managed to finish it with Inphyy because I got a level up right at the end before the boss fight, and so had a full health level. I still barely got him.
Watching the credits, I noticed that all the CG videos were done in Japan, except the character openings that were done in Korea. The difference in quality is really big, especially the Inphyy opening movie were the walking animation is *horrible*.

Good god the secret mission is IMPOSSIBLE.
I can't remove more than 20% of the boss' HP, and Inphyy is at level 9 with the best sword, and the map level is already down to level 1 because I've lost so many times. WTF.

Also, the save bug is the most retarded thing I have ever seen.
Obviously the game stores all your history, regardless of separate saves, because last night I accidentally overwrote my last save game with the last char, so I started a new game with him. I finished mission 1 with B rank, but the map had both mission 1 and 2 finished with A rank from my previous deleted game. This is some of the sloppiest design/code I have ever seen.

The pre-rendered video is awesome btw, I totally see the difference from the in-game stuff :(

do the eneimes in this game actually fight back at you or are they just cannon fodder that will occasionally swing at you every now and then?

They fight back... most of the minions are pretty much cannon fodder if you are the right level, but you still generally don't want to go plunging into the middle of a pack unless you have a death wish. Stronger enemies can be difficult though, especially bosses, but there are some non-bosses with special armour, and some with projectile attacks that can be a pain in the ass.

couple things Mizuguchi comfirmed about the game last night...

- Microsoft is way too uptight (he even did a choking himself gesture)
- He got almost no money out of it for other projects
- he agrees on the thumbs down for this game

That is unprofessional. Peter Moore praised him as a great developer during their press conference and this is the thanks he gets. Last I checked, it is partly his game; not Microsoft's. If it sucks, he shares some of the blame. Plus, I will bet that Lumines Live will float him some cash.

Against GAF's better judgement I bought the game, complained about how it was late in the mail, recieved it, played through a few missions and realised why everyone was shit canning it.

The biggest piss off about this game would probably be how lame the opponents are. I don't know about the rest of the game, but right now with Inphy (last level, first play through), I've encountered mainly brain dead opponents, and bosses with incredibly poor hit detection. The big fat frog boss I sat there and tapped X chipping away at his life because I couldn't combo him worth a damn (every second sword swing passes through him).

If they'd actually made the combat system something more than 'pretty colors', made the moves a little more manual (like DMC3 type manual), given the enemy troops better AI/actions, and given bosses actual proper moves and some challenge, without cheaping out with incredibly poor hit detection, there would've been much more of a game here.

They also managed to miss a beat with the combo system; the larger the combo, the more orbs that are released... that's what it should've been. As it is, the combo 'system' is just a flashy number with little meaning.

Guh. Miz, stick to the puzzle games!
