Storm 2 was a lot of fun, but isn't it a bit soon for this? Well since this isn't Storm 3, I guess this is just meant to fill the gap until then. Hopefully they handle the pre-time skip stuff better than Storm 1, which already seems to be the case since they're actually including Zabuza and Haku.

And Raikage, hell yeah!

.hack is officially over. The series will conclude with a movie released in the fall.

I think they really mean it this time.

Too bad the last game will never be released in North America.

Apart from Kizuna Drive (it needed to come on PSN...), I have essentially every Naruto game game Namco Bandai brought out since then...and I guess Ultimate Ninja Impact this fall, and then this Storm Generation, I guess early 2012.

Its not 'just a fighting game', there is generally a very story-driven adventure mode.

And I can't speak on the PSP games, but all of the console iterations are badass. It blows away the Clash of Ninja and Rise of a Ninja/Broken Bond games. The CC2 games always have amazing combat and controls.

The addition of 3D in Ninja Storm series is pretty significant compared to the 2d Narutomate series. so as far as I'm concerned, this is only the third game in the new series. and they're still sticking with canon stories so I'm okay with that. when they have to resort to filler or filler level material (like the later UN game on ps2) is when I'll start to be weary about the series

The PSP ones are just repetitive sometimes since they have tons of sidescrolling. Though the fighting is still the same (though Jutsus look more powerful).

I miss the minigames in the first Ultimate NInja Storm, tree climbing was pretty exciting.

I think this character punched Naruto in the face few times at the kage summit. Best character ever.

I don't care about naruto at this stage, but a Vita OP game would get my attention...bizarre if this doesnt get a Vita version actually

=( I like his character design + attitude. Besides as a black guy it's one of the people that I probably could get away with if I ever cosplayed.

He's the genjutsu specialist henchman of Raikage and his name is also translated as Shii. (C makes more sense but yeah)

I never imagine C/Shi is significant enough to be playable character. maybe just as npc.

Right. Guess that makes sense. Looks like this series is well on the way to becoming the next DBZ Budakai With all these bit part characters filling as many spots as possible.

If Ultimate Ninja Impact will have both Tsuchikage and Mizukage as well, then hopefully they also make it in this Generation (since Raikage). I would love to play as Mizukage and Chojuro.

I really don't think so. the whole war arc will probably be condensed into 1 game. they're not gonna make war arc and leave it hanging in the middle, although we'll probably get playable secret character like Naruto new mode but I don't think it'll be in the story.

More like Tenkaichi where characters who die after the episode they're introduced in are included.

Most of Dimps Budokai games contain characters who influence the plot in some way.

Well they could go back to UNS1 style and have these side characters as only support characters. Though they need to add back in Konohamaru. And plus didnt the PS2 ones have characters who werent even a part of the plot playable, like Hinata's sister.

Cant wait! I loved Ultimate Ninja Storm 2. I just hope they balance it more cause some characters are pretty ridiculous while playing online TT

probably gonna be a support spamming broken button mashing fest with substitutions only taking 1% of your chakra with nobody actually getting close and FIGHTING in a fighting game with no real tournament play.

But hey, maybe they'll fix eveerything.

This reminds me, I still need to beat Ninja Storm 2 story mode.

Anyway I can't wait to fucking play with the Raikage. One of the best new characters introduced.

They should also stop allowing you to substitute out of throw attempts. It's like CC2 saw the basic rock/paper/scissors formula of a fighting game, and then decided rock should beat paper as well.

Isnt the substitution the way they have it implemented, canon. In the source material, substitution is pretty much impervious to everything.

Finally, the developers finally realized how important Haku is to the overall story and brought him back. CC2 left him out for far too many games.
