omg! That's pretty damn rare for an anime game. And Namco too? Someone better start saying what the catch here is or I'll be getting this on day 1.Zoe said:Well for one, it actually finishes out the story.

Seriously... I'd even take Ultimate Ninja 1 with PSX gfx over Avatar

The way I seen it so far is, the village acts as a hub world & you select up to 100 mission from it. When you select a mission you are automatically teleported to a fight or mini-game to play & then return back to the village.
Has anyone heard otherwise?
In Accel's single player, you could also run to the Village of Sand and explore the desert and forests. The graphics and gameplay in single player were pretty ugly, but there was a lot of space to explore.Issun23 said:That's exactly how it plays but the Forest of Death is also available to explore it seems.

We do not have any plans to enable online play via a patch at this time, but its a feature we understand is important to a lot of our fans. We will listen closely to all your feedback on the game when it is released, so please let us know what you think.

The demo was stunning and for some weird reason that is unknown to even myself, I LOVE Rise of a Ninja. Based on what I've played, Ultimate Ninja Storm's combat is definitely more fun and over the top. It also doesn't hurt that it's one of the single best looking games I've ever seen, anime license be damned.

Mr. Durden said:That's what I don't like about these type of games. Just like with Budokai. Budokai 3 had a lot of content, then the next-gen version comes, and content wise it's the same as Budokai 1. I mean, I love better graphics, animations etc etc, but I don't want to trade in game content for it. (that's why I never bought the next-gen Budokai, and will just wait for that final Budokai with the most content ever on PS2).
Same goes for Naruto, well it's not as extreme as with the Budokai games, but still, getting less game content in a newer game just sucks.
Yes but it's still a really big part being put into a game, something which has been uncommon since the beginning of videogames. We never got to see a proper DBZ game covering the whole series, closest was LoG.Zoe said:The catch is that Naruto is split into two series (so far). This one takes you to the end of the first series. The second series is still ongoing in Japan (even in the manga).
Yeah, this is what I mean. Hopefully this game is the saviour!Mr. Durden said:That's what I don't like about these type of games. Just like with Budokai. Isn't this from the anime?Issun23 said:Music's inspired by the anime. I too was anticipating the show's soundtrack to be used in the game and when I learned it wasn't making it I was a bit disappointed, till I listened to one of the tracks. It's absolutely fantastic.
Here's one of the songs.

When the series is called "NARUTO" I expect to see the main character in question to get bigger spotlight than his annoying bitchy sidekick. Just because Kishi has a hard-on for Sucksuke it doesn't mean the rest of us do. Anyway, I'm actually no longer interested in the series thanks to the character in question but I'll play the game since it only covers up to episode 135 or something like that.
And oh, I'll pay more for that 'shopped cover.

Well, now I know how far it goes in the series. Dammit, I swore I wouldn't buy another Naruto game after the 360 one. I really want it, but I think I need a $20 off deal or something to sway me. The demo was really neat, I love how the combat gives you free-roaming capabilities.Snaku said:

I've never played any of the Playstation Naruto games before though, only the GCN/Wii and 360 ones... I should still enjoy it right? Same sorta thing I imagine?
I really liked the adventuring and platform bits of the 360 game, out and out fighting games tend to bore me after I've unlocked stuff.

See, I knew something like this was gonna happen sooner or later. the manga are fucking great right now , the focus on Sasuke are finally over ( yeah i take ages ) the events and the plot are so interesting right now ,and if you want to see some big mofo rapper badass Ninja made Sasuke his bitch and even fooled him later with noob jutsu , you must read the manga .
IIRC, Pierrot used Lee's, Neji's, and Tenten's ougis from Accel 1 in the anime, even though they never even used those moves in the manga. And they were basically cut/paste replicas of the ougis, except a million times worse-looking due to the horrible animation.Totobeni said:Studio Pierrot should use this Engine for shippuden :lol :lol

Maybe its just me and my "go-with-the-flow/one tiny chapter gets released per week so let memory loss take its toll" attitude, but I found it really odd when I first read people complaining about Sasuke.

That was also about the time I stopped watching the anime for good.
are you serious? :lol I watched shippunden on and off (though mostly off, since I like to avoid fillers), but seriously? He wasn't ignoring Naruto at all. Excuse me if the storyteller decides at some point that he's going to have a 30+ character cast, and wants to focus on storydevelopment for one guy in that 30-member cast for a few damn pages after doing 20-something volumes of a manga on a yellow-haired kid.Totobeni said:?? it's completely normal dude get over it , even in games this happened a lot , maybe even more than anime/manga .
same thing happend with Metal Gear Solid 2 and Raiden , peoble didn't like the whole thing , hated Raiden , Raiden personality , Kojima ignoring Snake ,and just like Sasuke they called Raiden emo , shit , bitch too .
people even hate small parts of games when you play with secondary characters , it's just when the game , movie , manga , book is about someone ( and the title is in the name of that character ) you should as author focusing , you want to build your story ok , fine but don't ignore your Protagonist or main character who is the central of the story and most of fan love the manga/game because of him/her first place .
people found the gameplay to be a pleasant surprise, and the graphics and animation definitely help. Try out the demo, if you can.Emotions said:What's the difference of this game over the PS2 Narutos appart from the HD graphics? is it because it is on PS3 that is being so hyped?

seriously serious is this a new meme or something ? Why do i read it a lot lately in so many PS3 threads ?
anyway if you played the demo you can know that the gameplay/fighting system is just awesome and completely new , also CC2 track record is pure gold .
I don't even have a PS3 and I want this game badly.Emotions said:What's the difference of this game over the PS2 Narutos appart from the HD graphics? is it because it is on PS3 that is being so hyped?
