Just to be sure , you have just to modify your inital tracking post , right ? , no need to post an updated list each time , right ?
It's a lot easier to follow the thread if people make new posts. No one is going to go back and read old posts.
I just copied last year's OP.why do you have that rule?
I don't count multiple copies of the same game myself, but it if you count them separately they will still add up to a ±0 when you beat them.and what about games, you bought a 2nd time?

Lastly, a question: What is the status of dropped games? As in started a game, played some and it's bad enough to be off the backlog but also never be beaten/completed?
Do gamefly games count towards a +/-1? Or do they fall more under how PS+ games/freebies are counted?

Next up, Super Metroid and VLR!
Nope. Skip them if you have no intention of ever playing them.Question:
I got Skyrim and Forza 4 free in a bundle with my new 360. Do I have to count those? I have no intention of playing Forza 4 (I have Forza 5) and I already own Skyrim on PC.
Nope. Skip them if you have no intention of ever playing them.
Edit: Well, you could technically count Forza 4 if you wanted to since it's a different game. It's up to you to decide.
Super Metroid down. What a fucking awesome classic, every minute of it still holds up todayexcept the grapple beam. Screw that thing. And that final Mode 7'd lego shot of your ship. Even back in the day that looked bad.
Best 30 cents I spent all last year, thanks Nintendo.

Decided to keep it going on the Virtual Console tip instead, just beat Mega Man III. I gave up months ago at the Rock Monster, but managed to finally plow through today. He's actually easier in this one than the original.
Overall the game was tougher and better than I remember. I recall thinking it was kind of inferior to Mega Man II when it came out, but I like it much better 20 years later.
Doing well so far, I think I've already finished more games in 2014 than I did the first 5 months of 2013.

Next up...maybe I'll tackle Mega Man X. The Wii U Pro Controller kicks ass at these games.
Okay, Mega Man X down. I had been stuck on that vertical tunnel on the first Sigma stage for a while. Back in the SNES days I didn't really appreciate this game, for whatever reason I considered it inferior to the main Mega Man series (really liked the original sprite, I consider it unassailable design). This game didn't click with me until I played the remake, Maverick Hunter, on PSP. That was utterly fantastic. The SNES version has aged really well too, though I don't remember the final boss being that insane. Was he toned down for MHX?
Anyway, this was just about flawlessly executed as an action game. Those controls are so responsive, just butta. Good times. It early makes me want to get MMX2, since that just hit VC but...must stay focused on the goal...backlog slaying!

How does renting games with a service like Gamefly (I use Game Access) count towards the points?
I think its minus, but in case the game didn't finish, and you return it, I guess the score is revoked.
