Neon yellow joycon + battery pack extended announced

Meh...yellow is not great perfer my neon blue. Battery pack is nice tho but I probably wouldn't use it since I play portable mode majority of the time.

purple snipperclip am cry :(

I'm really annoyed that they don't come with the same-color extend grip. I honestly don't think I'll buy any Joy-Con until they do. I don't want to spend $8 more bucks and then have a ton of extra grey ones left over.

I was never that much a of a color guy. I just get what is the most convenient. But something about the Joy cons make me want to have all the colors.

I'm totally getting the yellow set.

I've been thinking this same thing. I don't understand why they come with the grey ones. What does Nintendo expect us to do with all he extra ones?

Worried every colour is going to be neon. This is like hi-vis jacket sort of yellow. Sure it looks better in person but it's definitely a bit garish and loud. Give us classy colours Nintendo. Royal blue or midnight blue, Gamecube.. Something like that please!

Joycon battery packs seem largely unnecessary. I hope Nintendo make a battery pack that slots onto the system rails, features another set to attach controllers to with the battery pack snugly fit at the back.

OK, I'm looking the look of the yellow one. However, I'm gonna wait until they're bundles with the console, unless that's been announced already.

Hope they end up making a different type of Joycon so I can someday play the Switch in portable mode in comfort. When I play it docked I use the Pro Controller but I don't play it in portable mode as I don't find the Switch that comfortable to hold, the joycons are too small for me to enjoy using.

In don't understand the joycon battery pack at all. They last long enough and no one conplained. If anything it's the switch that needs one.

If no one complains, no one needs to buy it, and that's fine.

Long lasting or not, they end eventually - even more so when the capacity starts to wear out over time. With a game like ARMS, if the battery dies in any circumstance, you have to put the game down or switch the control scheme to the traditional one, in order to recharge the Joy-cons (by either attaching them to the Switch or to a charging grip).

This accessory offers so far the only solution for that problem. Not many people may need it, but it's good that it's there for those who do.

There's plenty of charging solutions for the Switch itself already. Although, I won't deny that it would be cool to have one that clips to the console.

Ugly, but I would laugh if they bundled them in with Donkey Kong in the future.

We need Joy Cons of all these colors. The EXACT colors.

Uses AAs? For fuck's sake, Nintendo. Use a fucking rechargeable battery. -_-

Buy rechargeable AA's.

I greatly prefer AA's because I don't have to think about charging them. I always have a set of four waiting in my charger, ready to be swapped out. With device specific rechargeable batteries, I have to physically plug in the device and wait for it to charge, or play with an annoying wire attached.

Not a fan of that yellow. So will still be getting the neons instead so i can go blue-blue red-red.

Just wish they announced a joycons bundle with arms. Seems to be the first game you need 2 full sets

At $80 + $60 individual MSRPs I can't see the bundle going for less than $120, and that's the optimist price. Otherwise $130.

Better than nothing but still quite the punch.

Would love if they'd designed those battery packs to go on while playing your switch out of the dock with the cons connected. The switch looks nice and all but I'd take the extra bulk at the back for comfort.

I actually really like that shade of yellow. Reminds me of the Oceanographer palette in N++.

That battery pack though... I don't see why you would need that at all. Not only is the battery life already super good, but they're pretty much the perfect size. Putting those straps on is enough to make them too wide to hold comfortably, that extra bulk at the back is just gonna make them impossible to get a solid grip on.

For folks that don't think the cons are the perfect size?

-Lack of bundle with ARMS is terrible
-Battery pack seems more useful for ergonomics than autonomy
-What the fuck is this yellow ?

I think that would be a fiddly thing to achieve with the Switch design, they would probably need a duplicated rail in the shell and then have the S buttons on a lid that folds back when it's in hh mode.

No doubt you're right man, I just wish! Haha. Love the switch's design but it's a little fiddly as is, complicating that further probably wouldn't be the best idea.

Love the color but don't anticipate I'd ever buy it because I just don't have a need. But they're super sharp and look fantastic with the unit.
