The positioning of diablo is questionable given that WoW is their main generator. However, a friend just pointed out there might be a diablo 2 tournament there?epmode said:Again, why is this logo significant? Doesn't Blizzard usually promote all three franchises?

What I'm saying is that the control scheme must absolutely be compromised to work on consoles. And the game complexity with it. It just irks me when people say that Diablo can be done "perfectly" on consoles, simply because their barbarian playing style with which they finished the campaign on normal or nightmare would work with a controller.Xater said:Who cares about high level? It would work fine and I could see it happen but I will buy it for my Mac anyway.

Edit: God, I hope Diablo 3 is on the way. What's Blizzard's history of announcing games? Would they do something at this upcoming invitational?

Although, starcraft2.com not pointing to the splash page kind of says it's not.

I think we broke the internet. Good times.MirageDwarf said:I remember that weekend when StarCraft II was announced. It was fun browsing GAF at late night on weekend.

I thought most of their stuff was already multiplatform at launch? They're one of the few developers who *don't* send my Mac-using friends into tears of hatred and loathing.Wollan said:See Diablo 3 become Blizzards first (simultaneous) multiplatform release.
Isn't there any fansite that keeps an alternate fanart depositore?Xabora said:This is interesting... as I posted earlier

However when I go back in the archives
http://web.archive.org/web/20041207040048/http://www.blizzard.com/inblizz/fanart/page10.shtml
This page works just fine at Dec 12th 2004.
However the 'Purple Diablo' image appears sometime between the 13th and the 29th.

Now all the images on the old 2004 retrieval are gone...

Menmanelf said:On the WWI site I remember at one point there was some stuff about computers set-up with D2, which seems to have been removed now, though the D2 logo is still on the site banner to the side.
All I'm trying to say is that the Diablo pic in the logo may not actually refer to D3, may just be because D2 is there.
Although I hope it is announced, because with luck it may be playable at the event.
I know... its like something out of a global conspiracy movie.Artadius said:This is crazy, all references to ss111 have been removed everywhere I've looked.

If Diablo 3 is an MMO...Xabora said:I got bored today between WoW and being bored. :lol
Anyways I got this so far after checking all the job postings listed under (Top Secret).
http://www.blizzard.com/us/jobopp/ -- Main Page
http://www.blizzard.com/us/jobopp/programmer-database-mmo.html -- Obvious as you need a DB to handle the game.
http://www.blizzard.com/us/jobopp/programmer-game-physics.html -- Next Gen MMO Physics (Ooh!?)
http://www.blizzard.com/us/jobopp/senior-3d-environment-artist2.html -- Envio Artist (Job Posting only talks about Diablo I & II)
http://www.blizzard.com/us/jobopp/art-technical-artist.html -- Again looking for someone to handle art assets made and ported into live.
There's more postings there but these got the point across.
Overall, I get this egging feeling that since its being done by the Diablo I & II teams and calling for Next Gen MMO programmers I get:
A) Its an MMO
B) Done by the Diablo Peeps
C) Another Game to Print Money for Blizzard!
Diablo MMO would pretty much destroy the human population in some parts of the world.
Just speculation.
