Orchid is killer instinct. She was on the sides of the arcade cabinets. If they know what they're doing she will be the last one revealed.

It's not like the games were far cries from eachother with character designs. Take away the prerendered and digitized sprites and suddenly they look a lot more similar.

Well to be fair I'm sure they'll be saving some fan favorite KI characters for season 2. Though I do hope Fulgore makes it as the 6th character as he is my favorite and was basically the mascot of the franchise.

Personally I would prefer Orchid as well. Adds another female combatant and she's very iconic to the series. Who knows? She was the second most requested character (Fulgore barely inching her out.)

I'm not particularly interested in this game but I really think this is the first reveal that has piqued my interest. I definitely like the idea and I would hope people don't seriously mind a new character if her technique is unique and done correctly.

Watching it a few times makes me think she fits well and could have some interesting combos. I'm liking it.

One of them better be Orchid or Fulgore, but should it be both? Not really sure at this point.

I wouldn't mind having a black person in the game at launch / S1, and I'd be perfectly ok with it NOT being TJ Combo, really....

Jago was Masked, Saberwulf an animal, and Thunder's face didn't animate during his winpose during his reveal vid. I'm mostly guessing face modeling just takes more time / work for them, and that these masked characters are just quicker to make.

I REALLY hope they can pull off some nice, varied looking feminine faces, though. Did Kim Wu look like a 17 year old in KI2? Could you tell she was younger than the 23 Year old Orchid? I guess the Jackson family never ages, though...

I'm still on the fence about Orchid since was my fav in the first one but I'm not exactly sure I want to see DH's take on her at this point. If Spider girl ends up being the only female I probably won't mind to much since she looks like she could be fun to play.

Nobody. N-O-B-O-D-Y. This thing should not have come before Orchid, Fulgore, Spinal, Cinder, and TJ Combo. Nobody cares about this new character.

4) Also, bad form for teasing a new character. You don't tease new characters. They don't have fanbases and nobody gives a shit about them (#SorryBoutIt). There's nothing to tease. You just fucking show them. This teaser showed us more than the Thunder teaser, but Thunder's teaser was infinitely more satisfying because we KNOW Thunder. eh, i dunno. i may not be pleased with the character design itself (though the gameplay looks new, fresh, and awesome), but i definitely give them props for having the courage to introduce a new character (s?). with 6 at launch, i dont want all returning oldies.

I think you missed the point of my post. It's not like she's not in the game. You Orchid fans might be sweating it but it's just common sense she's in. This reveal isn't for you. Don't feel slighted, though. The rest of the game seems to be straight fan-service so far. Let the plebs (me) have their fun.

Dude, I know the feeling. I am a massive fulgore fan... To the point where he is the only player I ever use.

But there's a chance I won't see him. There's only so many character spots for season 1.

There's other people who feel the same way about cinder, spinal, orchid, combo and riptor (omg the riptor fans on DH forums... So many)

So I will play whatever they give us with the expectation that everyone will be in by season 2
