Ok originally I lol'd at people getting all upset about a downloadable trailer not being posted.....but now it really is just puzzling what their deal is.

I feel you and agree. While the developers probably have a lot more important things too do, then produce a better version of a trailer already released, setting dates to cater to your fans and dont deliver on it is bad. But what annoyes me the most is the lack of response of the reason why! Yeah we got tweets but seriously is that what counts as apologies to perhaps their most probable and entusiastic customers they got these days? These delays, broken promises and failiure to comunicate is really starting to make me question how they will deliver even after the game ships. If there are some bugs or other issues will we meet a wall of silence or a soon answer yet again?
Well this became quite a rant too but working and also writing a master thesis on customer quality and communication makes me wonder sometimes how some companies/developers within this industry looks upon their customers and how they have no fear of letting them down.

Then record two other similar gameplay videos. If IGN have some sort of deal to be the only provider of gameplay videos for x amount of time then say so. It is not like either is a problem worth making fans of their game frustrated or even angry at them over.

If he is a product manager, they need someone better.
It is the principle of the matter. If you give a date, you deliver. If you cannot deliver on said date, you explain why, and either reschedule or cancel outright. If you were never able to deliver, you should of kept your mouth shut. Amateur hour.

I think the developers, programmers, marketers, and PR-ers are going to get laid off. Sony is losing money, and keeping a social website, let alone an entire social game, costs a buttload of money and resources. Come on, what does it really take to upload a video?
They are probably pouring tens of millions into the next GT game so they don't want to make their financial numbers look even worse at this point in time.
