So comparing a studio's current game, which shares tech from previous games from said studio, is somehow illogical and stupid?
Many other games get complaints about brown visuals, from my eyes The Last of us has very brown and yellow visuals. Uncharted as a series had a very vibrant color scheme.
I didn't even say The Last of us looks horribly bad or worse than Uncharted, but thanks for not elaborating on why I'm horribly wrong.
The weakest thing about The Last of us is the visuals so far, way too much brown and yellowish coloring for my taste.
I understand that the world in The Last of us is decrepit and horrible, but why does it look like a dirt bomb blew up in every room? I imagine the outdoor areas probably look much more varied, but the visuals aren't at the same level as Uncharted at this point.
Also Ellie being a punk/sassy seems wayyyy too typical. I'm not asking for a fearful, overly spastic girl, but Ellie is plain unlikable.
Like I guess it's cool that she isn't a pushover. But she is doing the most with the whole "tough shit" front. Lol. I just want to see what happens when shit really hits the fan. As in Joel not around to help.
I fucking hate gaf and these stupid rollercoaster of comments sometimes.

I know what you mean, it's like... some sort of forum of discussion that keeps going and going.
Most of it isn't just discussion, its nitpicking just for the sake of it.
I doubt if some of these people enjoy playing games.
No idea if someone has posted one or not, but I have the video in HQ form here:

Anyone see the resemblance?

The audio is super slow on my computer. Maybe I need to download the latest codec or something.
I hold you personally responsible for the audio f-up on this video Blim and you should feel bad.No idea if someone has posted one or not, but I have the video in HQ form here:

http://gamerant.com/the-last-of-us-comic-con-new-character-details-tao-159639/For example, one thing not highlighted the first time the demo was shown was a key moment where Joel could interact with a poster for a faux horror flick called “Dawn of the Wolf.” The importance of the interaction had nothing to do with gameplay, but was meant to serve as a character moment, one where Ellie learns a little more about how the world was before she was born, and before the outbreak. This was also an opportunity for Ellie and Joel to develop the bond that is at the heart of The Last of Us. These moments will apparently be peppered throughout the game, and will be completely optional – it’s up to the player how deep they want to delve into the story.
Nahh, I'm good. I've seen enough already, I just want the game, Dogs.

Am I the only one that noticed that this is basically an elaborate setup for a fetch quest?
"I need a car!"
"I can get you one, but first you need to get these items for me."
"OK, where? How?"
"I just happen to have this detailed map under all this junk, let's gooo!"
Don't get me wrong, it's a great looking and well acted fetch quest, and is making me consider getting a PS3.
EDT: triggaz saw it too.
Also, ITT we discover that most of GAF has no clue about 14 year old girls. ;p

Car parts are big and heavy though, so I imagine some puzzles bringing it back will be part of the game. I can't wait to learn more about this game world. The other day I saw the movie Book of Eli and realized how great it is.
The dialog is starting to get on my nerves.
Everybody's just oh-so-clever and knows exactly what to say at exactly the right moment. And the use of language feels terribly forced at times.

lol. Somehow I find it hilarious that people are actually complaining about the swearing.
Though I found it a little weird that Joel knows the guy. You'd think that in a world like this people would stick together in groups, not split up and living in relative proximity. "Let's go visit my old friend, he lives two blocks down the road" seems a little weird in a post-apocalyptic world.Yes, but all the bells and whistles make it a lot more than just that. We learn a lot about Joel and Bill's long-standing but tense friendship just from the few nuggets of dialogue added by the scriptwriters. Not to mention Ellie's attitude about the whole thing.
There are little subtextual clues all through what we've seen from this game so far. I think it's a promising step forward for videogame writing, which usually ends up bashing you over the head with obviousness.
