I agree but then they'll have to create a bunch of different hairdos because now you'll be able to see their entire head.
Or just allow my character to wear to what looks like a Yankees fitted backwards. That would be awesome and more realistic for me.

Basically, Ash and Greninja fight together as if they're one. It changes Greninja's form to look closer to Ash. It seems more powerful than Mega.
It's basically Mega Evolution built on the bonds between the trainer and their Pokémon. At least that's how the anime portrays it.

Seriously though they better release Iwanko and Nekkoala this 26th, I'd be disappointed if they pop out in 1st.
Any idea why they chose Greninja for this? Doesn't Ash have a closer bond with Pikachu and thus would synch better?

this is actually a problem with every gen imo, gamefreak just picks a favorite and only focuses on that one, gen 1 is charizard, dude gets 2 megas while the other two only get one, in smash they cut squirtle and ivy but kept charizard. I'd mention greninja got into smash and not the other 2 but the story with that one was that sakurai saw his design before it even had a name and was like "i want this one for smash" so i won't count him, but in the anime greninja gets a new form and no love for the other 2 starters. I wish they'd start treating every starter equally

They may have decided, that like Megas, Synchro only works with full evolved Pokemon, I guess.

In the anime, before Greninja evolved to its third stage, there was an episode where a ghost image of the evolved Ash Greninja appeared overlaying Frogadier while it attacked.
They could have done something like that for Pikachu - but I guess only if this was all an anime-only creation. It's likely going to be a game mechanic.

Synchro would probably be the moment the games jump the shark. They came close with Pokemon fusion.
Digimon had the same trajectory. Digimon fusion, then Digimon fusing with humans, and then the series lost all of its popularity.
Mega Evolution is also similar to Burst Mode from Digimon, and Sun/Moon look startlingly like Yokai Watch. Gamefreak's lack of originality will be the death of them, and I'm saying that as someone who liked BW/XY/ORAS.

Maybe I'm just a sucker, but consistently loved this series since it started. Super excited for these new games and I'm really enjoying the pace at which information is coming out. Hopefully they strike a good balance between keeping the flow of info steady without revealing too many things that would be fun to discover on our own.
I think it's time a water starter got its just due, we are in Gen 6 and Greninja is the 1st time Ash has had a fully evolved water starter.

I disagree, I was really disappointed by Pokémon X and Y and had some concern about Sun and Moon following the same footstep but after seeing the treehouse steam all my doubts were cast aside as the game had all the charm that were absent in X and Y.
My only concern is whether or not if Cross gen evolution is returning outside of Eevee and how the new Synchro will influence the game as I did not like Mega and did not care for it.

Synchro will not be a thing, they just introduced mega evos last gen for christ's sake. I bet you my nut sack that synchro evo will not be a thing for this gen. you people betting on synchro are on the losing team

synchro is just basically mega but with a different name and likely a different mechanic.
i hope they could fix the frame drop before they put more 3D stunt in this one.

Do you think it's likely they'll give up making Megaevolutions? Maybe that was Kalos's "thing"
wishful thinking.
It's a hardware problem as the 3DS can not handle the Pokémon model.
Mega stopped being a Kalos thing when they appeared in the Hoenn remake.
its now also a huge part of the lore and a central part of the story in ORAS but...

I hope they implement some sort of new 3ds enhancement at least. No reason the hardware shouldnt be taken advantage of.
