New Resident Evil 5 Trailer shown!

During the MS press conference a brand new piece of a trailer for Resident Evil 5 was shown. Here is a quick description by IGN:

I wonder how long the full trailer is? I want some kind of story details.


I'm curious if Sony will have the same trailer at their conference? Hopefully a different one, so we can get more pieces of the puzzle. :)


After two years of waiting, I just hope Capcom has a lot more to roll out soon.

Yeah, it was the best part of that conference, and aside from LO and the last Halo trailer it was all that was good really.

Whenever this game is released, it owns the GOTY title for that year. Period.
 
I am 100% the game will be criticized because you play as a white guy fighting against Africans.

Probably even banned in some countries.
 
In a show where every software title (with the exception of some live arcade stuff maybe) was already known about that absolutely stole the show (for me).

I was hoping this one would be set in the middle east based on the last trailer, but this locale is even more awesome. Want to see the gameplay, but so far I am totally hyped
 
Whats the logo on Chris' shirt, its very STARS like but not STARS.

I am surprised at how much like RE4 this is turning out to be. These villagers are basically the new Ganado. The graphics are amazing.

Probably, but that's totally the wrong reason to criticize a game --If only for the setting. Anyone who's heard anything about the series knows there's a shitload more to it than just zombies.
 
Oh. My. Gawd.

Looks like something so different in terms of locale and enemies so I'm pumped. Although I admit when things stay the same in RE I get pumped anyway. Kind of a shame the '5' and 'Capcom' took up nearly half the trailer.

....OK, I admit the '5' was awesome. :lol
 
Hm, RE5 sure is nice, but im rather disappointed by this trailer.
No troll at all, really, but everyone always said "RE5 on Wii? That´s impossible, dude", but this looks like a visual enhanced RE4, just another setting. Im sure the game will be awsome, but now i can see the game coming to Wii as well, without cutting away major contents.

Anyway, Chris rules!

:lol it looks LEAGUES beyond RE4.

I want this game so ****ing bad I can taste it.
 
Does one of the villagers have a burlap sack on his head, I cant tell cause the quality is crappy.

So what can we tell, Chris has a headset so he is in communication with someone. Will it be like Hunnigan or will it be with teamates on the field. Again there seems to be a group giving a virus/parasite to a village, against their will, much like RE4. Some of the locations shown look like it could fit into RE4 gameplay perfectly. The enemies have melee weapons like RE4. So as far as I can see its sticking very close to RE4 and thats a good thing.

I am also amazed that the game looks exactly like the tech demo years ago. Plus its actually the same game, no change, wow (sign that Mikami is not involved :P ).

Those dogs at the begining of the trailer are going to be extra freaky ;) They should have hyenas in this one :0

and :lol at all the RE4 parallelism in the trailer

Villagers w/ weapons : Villagers with weapons
Chainsaw guy : axe guy with bag on head
police man on spear : hanging
mendez / Leon : face holiding eye close up
Intro Cabin : slumped guy w/ protagonist
villagers shouting commands : megaphone guy
Hunnigan : Headset
????? : eye bleeding (okay that is new, and awesome)
 
Yeah, im sure the game will get banned cos you shoot at black people, I remember when RE4 was criticized cos you killed real Spaniards.

...and the problem is?

I think once we get a clean dump of the trailer, we'll find it's a bit more than a visual enhanced RE4 at any rate.

Yep, thats what I see too. Its very very much like RE4.
 
Looked awesome. But, like RE4, it looks like we fight crazed townspeople (haitian voodoo zombies), rather than the undead. Which IMO is lame. I want to kill the undead!
