Like I said in the other thread, if Sega would just focus on Sonic and improving his gameplay, they'd have at least a decent game on their hands.
Instead we get endless amounts of side characters no one cares about that make up more than 70% of the game with horrible gameplay mechanics. Meanwhile the Sonic gameplay people care about suffers because they are wasting resources on these characters. In this game it looks to be even worse. Big the Cat fishing adventure? Eggman Robot hover board racing? And let's not forget they could add in the Chaotix characters and those birds from the airboarding game. At this rate Sonic won't even be in 10% of the game.

I think there's some confusion about the roles of secondary characters. You play as Sonic Shadow and Silver however sometimes you will use assistant characters to progress, Tails, Blaze, Amy, Omega, Rouge and Knuckles. They are playable but not to the extent that they were in Sonic Adventure. Contrary to popular belief there is no Big.

Besides Silver being slow, and Shadow having a truck, this is the most natural next step for Sonic - you all HONESTLY expect the series to stay 2D for life? Come on...
Yes, we all know the demo is glitchy as hell... but the graphics are more than good, the speed (in trailers) are perfect, and if they fix the controls and the camera, this WILL Sonic the Hedgehog despite what you whiners say...
And contrary to popular belief, an on-rails Sonic is NOT what Sonic is supposed to be... this game is more Sonic than that game is...

It seems to me that some childhoods were left vulnerable and thus more prone to getting raped. Oh and blah blah Sega ran over your dog blah Sonic and Shadow tag-teaming on the princess/your mother blah blah some other ridiculous crap.
If Amy is indeed playable this went from an instant sale to an instant sale x10.

It's probably not a good sign that I laughed the entire time while looking at these. I just hope that Sega continues to seperately develop the series. I think I'll probably much prefer the Wii version, and the limited movement doesn't bother me. The humans and teh maturez story probably would though. Also, I didn't really care for SA1 or 2. So if this is like those, only more so, then I may as well stop clickin on those threads.
And, a bit off topic...But when has Sonic been about free movement and exploration? The Sonic I love is all about reflexes and speed. I haven't played the Wii version yet though, so we'll see.

Ugh. The first SA was a decent attempt at bringing the series to 3D and trying something new. SA2 was a really botched follow-up that was just not fun at all outside of the Sonic/Shadow stages and Sonic Heroes...the less said about it, the better.

I like it, at least Sonic Team takes risks with the series and does something "next gen" with the damn franchise instead of the same shit since 1991. People seem to like it a well as Sonic Adventure 2 was I think the only non-Nintendo franchise that sold over 1 million in the US.
I like his new direction(s), sans the shadow gameplay, so keep bitching no one is listening.
