I will use this thread as a reminder to myself of the vast ocean of aesthetic preference on GAF.

I think people like the one where they use the Futura? font with the spaced out leading above the original opaque logo.

I liked that font much more at least, felt like a movie title screen.This just feels too friendly for the studio that does God of War.

Yaaaay, generic clean logo like all the other thousands that are out nowadays, instead of the unique one they had. Can the advertising clean look get a fucking break advertising teams? Can you guys just a take a break from it? The corporate look doesn't have to fit every genre.

As for the logo itself, it looks "ok". The previous one was a lot better and something far more interesting for a video game logo.

I guess but I think it has some character with the paw and such, I think they should keep the paw if they do redesign it that said I agree with what Hoo-doo said.

true. they could have dropped the BG grunge and left the Futura as a straight wordmark. would have been ok. although everyone wants a squareish logo these days for practical scaling reasons...
