Nope.
Last I heard was that it involved...the generic storyline that many seem to be using this day (even Street Fighter IV)..of a fake tournament and a corporation creating it, to gather the best fighters and get their data to make the ultimate fighter.

The concept is probably too hard for Hollywood to comprehend.

At least the (dressed) actors seem to resemble their game parts in some way....Eddie Gordo, Christie, Anna, Jin...though many seem to giving a hard time to who is playing Jin because "he looks too young and not buff enough", yet they seem to forget that Jin is like in his late 18's early 20s (a few years older than Xiaoyu)..even when in the games he looks like he's in his late 20s; heck from what I remember he was in high school during Tekken 3, yet he looked like he's dad...so blame the game makers or something...

It always seem to be a problem in adapting games to films, you have lots of game characters that look older and bigger than they are supposed to be and when making a movie they either have to cast an older actor for the sake of pleasing the fans (who are going to be dissapointed anyway) or get someone that looks the age and a little like the character.

Anyway, at least there's going to be some blood in it..

Like I said in that other thread, what matters is this movie will star some actual martial arts people, with fights choreographed by Banlieue 13 dude. What the characters look like is irrelevant, unless of course they look like that ridiculous hobo character, cause that's just fantastic. Can't wait to see how the they're gonna portray Yoshimitsu. Gonna be fucking awesome.

I think this could potentially be worse than the DOA movie because Tekken seems to have more freaky, fantasy looking characters such as Devil Jin, Azrael, True Orge, Orge, Yoshimitsu, Roger, Alex, Kuma, Jinpachi, etc and an even crazier storyline. Oh wait, this is a video game movie so the story will probably have no resemblance to the game anyway. Yes, I actually thought the DOA movie was slightly entertaining and the fighting was pretty impressive, so I will probably check this out when it comes to DVD/Bluray which should be quick since i am a hardcore Tekken fan.

also, the summary for the movie is pretty faithful to the game. don't know why you're hating this movie so much other than blind skepticism. here's the summary I got btw

Jon Foo is awesome but it's a miss cast. With his agility he'd fit Hwoarang since Jin uses grounded, traditional karate and doesn't do spinning 1080 kick moves. Unless they don't give a fuck.
