New Watch Dogs PS4 Gameplay/Previews

I don't know - I'm still happy I have this pre-purchased. Bottom line is this game still looks fun - I could care less about the graphics not looking like E3 2012 if the game is fun.

Excited to cause blackouts and see people freak out.

The art and world design gives GTAV the edge. Watch_Dogs has a lot to prove in an environment that is slightly hostile toward it.

Maybe art due to the sun soaked nature of Los Santos, but not world design.

Sure GTA has those, but those environments have nothing interesting to do in them. Watch Dogs may not have as much visual variety, but the game seems dense and filled with more interesting and beneficial activities for the player to engage in.

Hope the game pans out well.

I usually don't care about graphics, but my biggest problem with watch dogs is its visual inconsistencies. There are moments in game where it looks stunning, and others were it looks average.

And being frank, inconsistency annoys me more than something thats being constantly average or poor.

The game went gold 2 weeks ago .I believe this is 3weeks time to work on the day1 patch.I still think we may see 1080p upgrade and issues fixed on 27th.Right?

funny thing is, I'm willing to bet everybody thats bitching about this games graphics also are people who have WII-U's and think thats the best console ever, despite the fact its a paperweight.

You're basing this on what exactly? I'm really hyped for this game, but I do acknowledge the fact that the graphics did undergo a big downgrade. I'm not saying it looks like garbage, but it sure ain't a graphical showcase.

welcome to cross-gen :(

My excitement for this game immediately went down once I saw him gunning down cops. I was really hoping this game would let you play as a bloodless vigilante. It would have been a nice change of pace for these kinds of games. Having a protagonist use his hacking abilities to handle his agendas without killing as a goal sounds a lot more interesting than just gunning down people.

Hoping my $20 credit comes in (For Wolf:TNO preorder) in time to preorder this at BestBuy (if it reviews well)...

Hate to break it to you but you didn't read the fine print for the promo. Whenever Best Buy gives you money back it does not post until 15 days after you pick up your game. So you will not even see your credit until the following week after Watch Dogs releases.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but you can do it without killing cops...

I'm sure gunning down cops is up to the user. I user that wants to be good might try to just escape the police.

what? Because people have an opinion or bitch they must own a Wii U? You are obviously upset that people are not unanimously praising the game.

You don't have to gun down cops. You can avoid them, shoot them in the leg, and smack them upside the head with a concrete stick. Plus, a lot of the CtOS centers look like they can be ghosted by using lures (think the noisemaker in Splinter Cell) or hacking shit like forklifts or texting enemies (that's right) to freak people out.

I agree that there could be more hacking opportunities but then they'd probably have to push this game into the future where there is a lot more technology in the immediate area. The hacking in this game seems more limited by the setting than anything else. They are already kinda reaching with the hacking steam pipes in the ground shit

I think it looks fantastic. Not a generational leap over GTAV on PS3, but this is Ubisoft. I have never been impressed by a Ubisoft game, graphically. I just wanted it to look decent and be fun to play... I don't know what most everyone else's problem in this thread is, but to me it meets that criteria.

I think it's a great looking game. I care more about if the frame rate is smooth and they have a good sense of atmosphere and place. It doesn't need to be eyebleedinglyamazeballs. Just needs to look really good. Have really nice lighting, etc.

Itll look even better on my 55" Sony TV! Downgrade or not, it still looks nice graphically.

Yeah, I think you're right but was hoping it would be anytime within 15 days. Oh well...

Will be interesting to see how this game holds up graphically to the inevitable GTA V current gen port. Would be slightly embarrassing if Rockstar just upped the res, added AA and it ends up looking better.

I'm saying I wish the game made it an objective that killing innocent people is not allowed. I'm personally a little tired of the morally ambiguous protagonist in every open world game.

Fuck that with a glazed rhino dick. You have a reputation system in Watch Dogs, you lose rep when you kill people other than bad guys. Restrain yourself, fuck a limitation on people who want to go on rampages. That no killing npcs crap ruins Ass Creed games for me.

But if the game doesn't force you to kill anyone, why can't you make it your own objective to get thru the game without killing anyone? Isn't it kinda the point to let the player make the moral choice whether or not to kill?

I agree with you, I'm not buying this yet but I don't think it looks bad at all. I have a lot of games I need to beat.

The effects in GTA were impressive last gen.

If all they did was up the res to 1080, add AA and solid 30 fps the game would look incredible.

Hell, I even think the water holds its own against PS4 ACIV.

It wouldn't. Most of the textures on GTA 5 are extremely low resolution.

My excitement for this game has just slowly dwindled away down to nothing. First the delay, then the downgrade. I could deal with those and was still pretty hyped. But after watching the game play that has recently been released or leaked, it just doesn't look fun.

I'm sure many will enjoy it, but I think I'm going to have to pass.

Wait...are these vids confirmed ps4 version? If so, then I cannot get my head around all the negative comments regarding the visuals (game play I suppose we will only know once we have played it ourselves and / or when the reviews start coming in); this is one frikkin amazing looking game especially when considering their complexity and open world nature. The frame rate seems to be smooth too. All in all one of the best looking games on ps4 so far, despite being 900p.
