What have you tried? Are you rooted?Of course my 6P won't update.

Of course my 6P won't update.
I wouldn't worry about it. A lot of us posting issues have had our phones for over a year. Plus, the only real reason to post in this thread these days is either for new firmware updates or for issues.
Anyone else having battery randomly drop to 0% and turn off? It's been happening the past week or two for me with no updates that I can remember.
Seems exacerabated by me starting a game app and then it turning off but it still says 0%. I don't know my % before it happens but I never get the low battery 15% so it has to be over 20% when it dies.
Edit: It was at 50% battery when it did it.
Any suggestions for a case that is similar to the official Google one in terms of thiness and maybe even material?

So my 6p is stuck in a bootloop.
I was playing battle cats, the game froze, heard a slight buzzing sound for a few seconds and it turned off. Got stuck at the google screen for a bit, then finally booted. Eventually it reset itself again, and is stuck at the google screen over and over.
Is there anyway for me to back up anything on this phone before I try to factory reset it? I know I have some pictures that never got backed up, and as dumb as it sounds I'd like to try and save my battle cats file, I got pretty damn far in the game, haha.
Yea everything is stock, no root, bootloader is locked. It won't even boot into recovery mode.
I've had the worst luck with phones recenty...
Thanks for the response!
At this point I'd find it hard to recommend the 6p. So many issues are cropping up with so many of them.My Nexus 5x has been suffering from severe performance issues lately - especially in certain apps: Chrome, Snapchat, etc. And now the GPS is acting up.
What should I consider in terms of an upgrade: Nexus 6P or the Pixel? I can get the 6P via google fi for $400. My biggest issue with the Pixel is the cost - is it really worth the extra $250+.
So my 6p is stuck in a bootloop.
At some point my 6p snapped out of it and actually booted up. After a few attempts I was able to get everything I needed backed up. It still freezes and bootloops, but at times I can get it working normally for hours before it crashes again. My worry is if I send it back to Huawei it'll work normally and they'll send it right back without doing anything. Is there anything I can do to fix it? I posted about it in more detail in the Android thread but didn't get much response.
Had something like that happen to me last week. Got a warning it was at 15% then a few seconds later it shut off.
It's getting worse now. Happening at 40% :/ Is there a better company to get a replacement phone? No way in hell I'm buying another Nexus phone.Get used to it I'm gonna guess your phone is a little over a year old?
Happened to me once has been happening ever since, google are scum fucks and said well its one month put of warranty try huawei.
Of course they told me it was out of warranty after wiping and factory resetting, cause you know. Fuck me.

Where did you buy your phone? I got mine from the Google Store and they gave me a replacement even though my phone was months out of warranty. The replacement phone hasn't had any issues.
Google store online, they don't seem to care.
Strange. I just sent them a picture of my battery graph showing a drop to zero from 40% and they sent me a new phone with no other questions asked. I've read about a bunch of other people doing the same (that's actually what made me contact them to begin with despite being long out of warranty).
I can try again, I did the chat on my phone. Did you go somewhere else to ask about it?
I did the chat on my phone too. This was in mid-January if that matters. I read that Google recognized the battery problem which is why they are doing out of warranty replacements.
Here's a reddit thread talking about it: https://www.reddit.com/r/Nexus6P/comments/5klw6y/problems_with_your_battery_including_random/
Make sure you say you've contacted support already and have gone through all the troubleshooting steps of putting your phone in safe mode.
Ok, let me try again and see what happens.
Good luck. I really hope this isn't something where you have to find a "cool" rep to get something done.
Yeah, they're hemming and hawing about it being out of warranty. This is word for word almost what happened the last time. :/
Edit: They said they can escalate it to a specialist and they'll let me know my fate if they'll replace it in 4-6 hours whether they feel like replacing it or not. Here's hoping :/
Ah damn. At least they haven't outright denied you (yet), hope someone up the ladder has their head on straight.
It's been almost 10 hours and no email. Not sure what I was expecting from google -_-
What a load of crap
It's the final build for 7.1.2 even though the beta version had a later build number.Just got an update from Google. I'm in the beta program though.
Contact Huawei. They might do it for free.I cracked my screen, anyone know the cheapest way to repair? I've had it almost since launch, no warranty afaik. I saw a video on how to do it yourself but I'm not confident enough to attempt it. I saw a local repair shop and they wanted to charge me $190 to fix.. Ehh nah. Anyone?
I want it to survive until the Pixel 2

In other news, Google refunded me the entire price of my 1.5 year old Nexus 6P because of the battery issue. Fantastic. They were offering me a replacement but they wanted to swap my king tier Frost for the peasant Graphite model. I wasn't having it and they had no Frosts. So they refunded me the entire thing.

Phone it in.Did you have to phone in or is there an email that you can use. I'm at the contact us page re: returning out of warranty things and there's only a phone number listed. Email would be preferable but worst case I could phone I guess.
Phone it in.
