That's some complete bullshit on that farve hit. Shit was super clean.

Its fucking football you asshats. Between this and all the technicals in the nba its getting awful to watch sports.

thank you Drizzler....I think you picked the Jets last week which was like the 1st time you did so all year and they lost so therefore they are going to destroy the Lions this weekend.

So are we officially the most injured team in the league yet?

The Indianapolis Colts released an unusual announcement today about how they're dealing with the injuries that are piling up on their offense.

"Indianapolis Colts OG-Jacques McClendon will wear jersey number 80 at Philadelphia this Sunday and will be listed as a tight end," read the one-sentence press release issued by the Colts' PR department.

The 324-pound McClendon certainly can't fill the void left by the injured Dallas Clark. McClendon won't be catching any deep balls from Peyton Manning, and he might not even be active for Sunday's game against the Eagles. But the move is the latest demonstration of how much injuries are affecting the Colts' roster this season.

Other Colts who are expected to miss Sunday's game include wide receiver Anthony Gonzalez, who is likely to miss several weeks with a knee injury, as well as running back Joseph Addai (neck), running back Mike Hart (ankle), safety Bob Sanders (triceps) and defensive tackle Antonio Johnson (knee).

Tight end Brody Eldridge (rib), cornerback Jerraud Powers (foot), linebacker Clint Session (elbow) and cornerback Justin Tryon (foot) were all listed as questionable on this week's injury report after being held out of practice.

Looks like Donald Brown and Baby James are our RBs Sunday.

Eagles match up well against us. I'm feeling a loss--we can only take so much!

this protecting the QB bs is just getting more ridiculous by the week. Our LB, Manny Lawson was fined for this hit.

WHAT THE FUCK DO THEY WANT HIM TO DO????

Lawson is 6'-6" if he would have kept his head straight up, he would be fined for helmet to helmet hit on the QB.

this is ridiculous...the Ref didn't even flag him for the hit.

Beyond ridiculous....that's all I can say. They're shitting on their own league and they don't even know it. I honestly hope that there's a lockout and then a big erosion in viewership when they do come back...probably won't happen, but I wish it would. That's the only thing that will scare them straight and make them realize how much they're fucking with the game.

smh. that'd be lol fucking tastic if somehow a legit league came along and stole some high profile names jumped for a season or 2 because of NFL stupid ass. That would learn em good but that'll not likely ever happen

Me too. I'm just hoping McCoy has a good first game in front of the home crowd.
I like to think that having debuted against the Steelers and Saints Ds has showed him the worst case scenarios.

The kid definitely has a great deal of composure. He'll be fine.

The UFL owners get wood just thinking about a possible NFL lockout.

Florio wrote in his 10-pack this morning that Vikings coach Brad Childress could be an ugly home loss to the Cardinals away from losing his job.

It turns out that Childress almost lost his job on Monday night.

ESPN's Ed Werder reports that Vikings owner Zygi Wilf was so "irate" after hearing that Childress was dumping Randy Moss (without Wilf's approval) that Wilf delayed Moss' placement on waivers. Moss wasn't officially an ex-Viking until Tuesday because Wilf was weighing whether to keep Moss and boot Childress.

Wilf must have made up his mind by Monday night, when the team allowed Childress to release a statement confirming Moss' release.

Childress has survived this week, but his handling of Moss looks like it will be his undoing as Vikings head coach. Chilly's lack of communication skills has seemingly infected his relationship with his players, fellow coaches, and his boss.

Wilf I am dissapoint. Should have followed through with that.

Edit: Aaaand beaten like Childress should be.

I wonder if some day if UFL could ever compete with NFL even on a small basis. At least they got the keeping salaries in check and expansion at a slow but gradual pace. In the end it'll likely forever be a stomping ground for people that couldn't make it the final cuts of training camp and over the hill guys that can't get it done in NFL anymore. Unless NFL decides they want a true minor league and buys them. Was the UFL or the league with Mark Cuban and such that goal of one day becoming NFL's minor league?

Yes, that was one of their original stated goals. I did an interview with one of the media folks before the league started and I asked him if that was something they were trying for. He answered that they hoped to stand on their own in competition, but the door would always be open to change, etc.

Basically, PR speak for "Fuck yeah! We can't wait to sell the hell out!" And who could blame them? But football fans are about the tradition of their team and the game. But all it takes is for a lockout to happen and a handful of high-profile players playing out 1-year deals for the the UFL to become more than what it currently is.

We're all junkies for sure. Look at the internet the week before pre-season starts. We're addicted to football, and if there isn't a NFL season, we're going to watch something else. Why not the UFL?

I'd love for UFL to become a true minor league for NFL

Philip Rivers might be without his top 4 WRs and Gates this Sunday.
Yup, our receiving corps is now down to Patrick Crayton, Gary Banks and Seyi Ajirotutu (yeah I know..."Who?"). We've also lost 4 LBs and 3 long snappers to IR. I think we can compete with the Colts for most injuries.

manny lawson got fined for that hit on orton!? get the fuck out of here nfl. absolute bullshit dude. what did he do wrong? no helmet to helmet contact, no going at the knees, goes to the middle of the body like the NFL asks and prevents the completion. if lawson lets up there the ball is probably completed for a first down.

thankfully no flag was called there but now as a defender you have it in your mind that you dont want to be fined for making a hit and you might not give it your all. i know a $50,000 fine isn't shit to a big name, but some of these guys earning league minimum that could be a big deal

Damn, I was 6-7 in pickem last week, even with the correct Detroit over Washington prediction.

Next year I'll come at this with more research and compete every week.

It wouldn't even surprise me at this point for them to fine the 9ers for the two bogus roughing the passer penalties.

Group Of Kids With Diabetes All Die One Day After Visit From Jay Cutler

CHICAGO—Less than 24 hours after a visit from Bears quarterback and Type 1 diabetes sufferer Jay Cutler, a group of 32 schoolchildren who shared his disease died Tuesday. "Their spirits were really high just before Mr. Cutler arrived, but literally the second he entered the room the kids just sort of closed off, and once he started talking about how poorly he was treated in Denver, they became sullen and quiet," said Erin Matthews, who until Tuesday ran a diabetes support group for children ages 8 to 14 at the downtown YMCA. "After I recovered from my shock, I was surprised that all the children died, seeing as diabetes isn't terminal and can be controlled with medication. However, considering how sickened they were by Mr. Cutler, well, it sort of makes sense. That the kids were able to live through the entire talk is a testament to their bravery." Since his professional football career began in 2006, Cutler has killed more than 3,000 disabled or sick children by taking time to speak to them.

Okay this is weird, a colts/chargers/seachicken fan now has talked about mass injuries and not 1 packers fan budged in to claim most injured prize.
