You? You have hope.
However, I think the fact that he holds so many records with basically one very good receiver should tell you how great the guy was. There have been plenty of QBs around for more than a decade. None have his pedigree, records or success. Again, he's shit this year, but he was amazing for a 40 year old last year. His career with Green Bay is legendary.
Hate who he is now, fine. But to deny his success over his career? Ignoring reality. Scroll down to "records and milestones."

You don't get that by being okay for a long time. Ask Todd Collins. He's one of the best to ever slang.

As for Charlie Whitehurst, do any Seahawks (or even Charger) fans have a scouting report on him?
While it seems better that the Giants don't have to face Hasselbeck I always get nervous being the first team to play a rookie QB, before anyone has a a lot of film on him. Hopefully the Giants d-line can pick up where the Raiders left off and keep him on his back.

In all seriousness, I don't know which analyst should have less clout: an ex-Raider exec or an ex-Browns scout.LJ11 said:Also has one of the largest double chins.

Probably has a decent chance of not dying, unlike Hasslebeck, and he might complete a pass of more than 15 yards! I also see him throwing a couple of really dumb INTs due to pressure.

ESPN knows to keep Millen away from that. He's actually good on color commentary.

And how can Belicheat be a bad coach just cause the browns sucked when he had them?
Man, she was pretty nice but goddamn was I struggling to keep up. Just my smattering of knowledge of pre-90's football kept me afloat in her sea of Cleveland Browns opinions. Later (now), Im just sitting here reading the wiki article about the team cause I don't want to disappoint.
How could this happen?

PHILADELPHIA (AP)Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver DeSean Jackson(notes) is wearing a new helmet, made by Schutt, that is designed to prevent concussions.
Jackson suffered his second concussion in as many seasons when he took a vicious hit from Atlanta Falcons cornerback Dunta Robinson(notes) on Oct. 17. Robinson was fined $50,000 for delivering the blow, and Jackson missed the Eagles loss at Tennessee on Oct. 24.
Jackson remains optimistic about returning Sunday against Indianapolis, and has been a full participant in practice the last two days. But a final determination about his status has not yet been made.
Jackson said after Thursdays practice that he has worn helmets made by Schutt since he was a little kid.
Never had a problem, he said.
But he was recently given a newer model helmet, which according to the Schutt website has additional cushioning that will help protect players from injury.
Asked how it feels, he said, I dont know, man. I havent played a game yet. It feels better, a little bit.
The NFL has a contract with Riddell, but players are permitted to wear helmets made by other companies if they obscure the logo.

It was a strange and different world back then. In the 80s the Bungles and Browns were the dominant teams in the AFC North. The Steelers were pretty horrible for me to watch as a kid (though back then I was stupid enough to think that with a little more practice that guys like Bubby Brister and Mark Malone could be good!).
If you to get in that girl's pants just tell her that the two things you hate most in this world are Art Modell and John Elway. That pretty much sums up the Cleveland experience.
P.S. Don't speak to her of your undying love of Ben Roethlisberger. She won't get it.

There are a couple of helmets with outer soft shells that are coming out. Unfortunately, they look oversized, so players don't want to wear em.jakncoke said:Does Ridell not have a helmet with extra padding? If not the NFL should buy out the contract and one with Schutt for the extra padding helmets.

http://sports.espn.go.com/dallas/nfl/news/story?id=5765237IRVING, Texas -- A 1-6 start hasn't drained the optimism from receiver Roy Williams, who is confident that the Dallas Cowboys can recover and run the table the rest of the season.
"We can go nine in a row, if you ask me," Williams said Thursday. "People can call me stupid or whatever, but this football team has the core of players, it has the supporting cast of players to win nine in row. We just got to get it started just for other players to be like, 'All right, we got it now.'"
The 1970 Cincinnati Bengals are the only team in NFL history to recover from a 1-6 start to make the playoffs. Williams believes the Cowboys can become the second, although he acknowledges that the Cowboys probably need to win the rest of their games to earn a playoff berth.
And Williams' dreams don't stop at just making the playoffs. He's still talking about the Cowboys playing in the Super Bowl in their home stadium.
"It would be a great storybook ending," Williams said. "It would be awesome. I don't know if they'd put us in the Hall of Fame for that if this [team] was going to go on and win the Super Bowl, but it's a tough feat to cross. But if there is any team in the league that can do it, it's the Dallas Cowboys."
Williams expressed similar optimism in the middle of losing seasons during his tenure with the Detroit Lions. He admits now, however, that he didn't really believe it at the time.
But Williams insists that his confidence in the Cowboys hasn't waned despite a schedule that includes six remaining games against teams with winning records, beginning with Sunday's road game against the NFC North-leading Green Bay Packers.
"I've just been a believer, man," Williams said. "I've just been a believer in this football team. I don't know if everybody's believing, but I think once we win one, two, three in a row, then it's on. This is the team that we're supposed to be."
Tight end Jason Witten, a team captain, believes it's in the Cowboys' best interests to keep a short-term view in mind.
"That's the ultimate goal," Witten said when told Williams believes the Cowboys can go undefeated the rest of the season. "But, for us, we've been so caught up in just trying to get a win. It's gotten away from us to where you get back to, 'Let's win this one. Then we'll get to the next one.' If you're thinking anything bigger than that, it's kind of hard to focus."
It is stupid to get upset over your position on that list. I don't think you can rank players like that. Just say that he is one of the greatest players ever and be done with it.mckmas8808 said:Deion Sanders is pissed that he's number 34 on the list. And I think he has a great point.
