Where is my online co-op against the AI?
EA would rather add the CHL into the game rather than refine and polish things for the current NHL teams.... I mean it IS NHL'11 right?CrazedArabMan said:Where is my online co-op against the AI?

I've been asking for this. They need online co-op not only for regular games but also for playoffs.CrazedArabMan said:Where is my online co-op against the AI?

The ice has been improved this year. Everything else you mentioned needs work though, especially the arenas.expy said:But totally let them get away with shitty arenas, player faces, actual NHL gameplay elements (4 officials), goalie animations, ice (logos etc.) for NHL teams.

I want restricted/unrestricted free agents.
It's frustrating to have a prospect go from an 80 to an 85 overall in one offseason just to ask for 4 million/year despite never playing in the NHL. The fact they've never performed at the NHL level should come into play during contract offers.
Don't make me use prospects on my AHL team. Sometimes guys just aren't good enough at 18 or 19, why can't they go to college or play in Europe? It's especially hard developing goalies because you can only have 1 at a time.
There are too many good players in the league once you're well into a dynasty (5 or 6 years). Most teams have 3 to 4 lines full of 84+ players.

Yep. Its getting boring seeing the same intro to EASHL/OTP games for the 1500th time. :lolCrazedArabMan said:I like the gameplay changes but they really need to work on the presentation much more than having re-hashed goal celebrations and junk every year...

I think that means you qualify as a Banhammer top prospectBobTheFork said:I haven't played an NHL game in 5-6 years but I'm planning on getting in for '11
I'm looking forward to it but I have this feeling it's going to be one of those games I suck at horribly.

I remember reading a hands-on of the game and the writer mentioned that the ice graphics were much better looking than before.expy said:By ice, I mean like the ice graphics, like logos and such. During the Canadiens' Centennial where they "focused" on the Montreal Canadiens centennial team and all that, they managed to screw up the center-ice logo (they probably guessed what it was going to be and completely got it wrong) and forgot to add the new jumbotron.
Like, do they even do research? Or do they just "guess" and hope it's right?
I mean the team logos on the ice. lolMarvie_3 said::lol

That's what I meant too. :lolexpy said:I mean the team logos on the ice. lol
Well, not better looking, like actually getting them right!Marvie_3 said:That's what I meant too. :lol

Marvie_3 said:One other thing I'd like to see is better international jerseys. I don't care if EA doesn't get the exact jerseys, but for fucks sake, do something better than just slapping the flag on the front.
They'd have to license the official ones from the IIHF, which I doubt they'll do. But, they could put a little effort into them at least.Hardyboy1224 said:i agree especially after an international year where we just say the jersey, make them look just the same how hard can that be. and i want my echl in there i want to play as the condors i love going and watching them i want to be on there team.

ECHL, NCAA, and USHL would be awesome, but at that point they might as well just call the game Hockey 11. :lol
They'll never get it, Nike would veto it since the NHL series is HUGELY backed by Reebok.Marvie_3 said:They'd have to license the official ones from the IIHF, which I doubt they'll do. But, they could put a little effort into them at least.

Phthisis said:Or worse, I had a minor league player refuse to re-sign with my team at the end of the year, only to decide to re-sign with me during the unrestricted period at a far lower asking price.
That same year, I also had Patrick Kane become unrestricted and ask for a 5.4 mil per year contract for five years. Nobody signed the guy for two months before I finally said fuck it and picked him up in late September after doing some creative things with my minor league team and the salary cap.
Kopitar, Kane, and Brown on my first line, and my team hasn't scored less than 5 goals in a game so far this season.
I am, I've asked if deflected passes will still beeline to their intended target, and if players are better able to get possession of loose pucksMarvie_3 said:Anyone else following the live chat? I hate getting my hopes up but they aren't helping. :lol
Rammer: absolutely...moving to physics based gameplay allows for open ended situations where anything can happen. Last week we had a goal where the puck hit a broken stick lying on the ice then deflected over the goalie's shoulder.
I've asked about 20 questions. Mine are apparently too complex for them. :lolNozdeuce said:I am, I've asked if deflected passes will still beeline to their intended target, and if players are better able to get possession of loose pucks

I *almost* want to fire up NHL again to practice goalie, but I realize 11 will be different and I hate NHL 10 now...so what's the point?Marvie_3 said:Don't worry, I'll be the Huet to your Niemi. <3

NHL 11 was one of hidden gems at EA's E3 booth this year. A lone demo station sitting in the corner of an un-labeled room it stood proud. The franchise has dug deep to completely revamp the engine, the same one that drives EA's Fight Night games. Real-time collisions, broken sticks, a new face-off mechanic, better stick-handling abilities, and of course the ability to grow a beard during the playoffs.
