NHL 11 Trailer

Haven't heard yet. They need to get rid of all that shit though. Spider pads, taxi helmets, graffiti helmets, pink visors(sorry laserbot). All of it.

Looks like some small upgrades in the presentation too. The little stat bar is a nice touch. Hopefully you can move the scoreboard around on the screen so it isn't so intrusive while playing goalie.
 
I wonder how the CHL will affect the Be a GM mode.

It was disappointing I could never have Cody Hodson or Jordan Schroeder in my Canucks farm system in be a gm mode in NHL 10

EDIT - My biggest wish for NHL 11 is to be able to negotiate contract extensions during their current contract/season in be a gm mode.

Yeah, GM mode was nice, but you need to be able to do more things like the contracts during the year, or different salary hits per player per years and so on...

and better AI trades, the AI sucks to trade with in 10, they want a player and all of a sudden you offer what they want and they say no, or they'd rather have defense, and you fix the trade and then they say they want offense.
 
I think i'm going to skip NHL 11. I've gotten 3 straight years and have never fully played all the modes in any of them. Maybe i'll start alternating between FIFA and NHL.

It's just really stupid looking. On top of that, it's the only equipment with boost slots(besides the Kane preorder stuff) so if you want to even use boosts, you have to look like a douche.

Is the PS3 version different then? There's 3 or 4 different unlockable items for each category with with max slots.

There is on the 360 as well, but it's not just the camo stuff. It's the spider, taxi cab, samurai, graffiti, etc. too. It all looks ridiculous.

They need to make trades harder too.

I was able to get Matt Duschene for Janik Hansen + Kyle Wellwood + 3rd round pick

Even worse the system they use to calculate value had John Tavares extremely low so I was able to get him for Grabner + 2nd round pick I believe.

Oh, and Patrick Kane for Corey Schneider + Pavol Demitra + 1st round pick.

My center line was so good I had to keep Tavares in the AHL as I had Sedin, Kesler, Duchene, Johnson (last line was TGH line)

Gotcha...never thought of it being goofy since it was the only way to use the boosts...well aside from the winter hat.
 
Oh, yes, actually correction on my number 1 request:

Get rid of fucking boosts/equipment.

If EA wants to make extra money, then charge for things like special teams/special arenas/non-game stat changing costumes/etc

I don't know if they got rid of the boosts but they did say they got rid of the camo gear in a recent tweet.

URGHHH

This is what drove me away from the franchise, this is the worst thing to ever happen to the game. Paid DLC Booster pack bullshit and impossible unlocks that require months of dedication, just pure bullshit that made me trade the game after a few weeks.

Yeah some of the unlocks were total bullshit. One was 'get 15 shutouts in a row in EASHL'. Yeah fuckin right. Hopefully they made the unlocks easier this year.
 
Also give me the option of saving my online ranked vs match line ups so I don't have to change them the way they are suppose be every game. I don't want Fisher in the 1st line while Speeza on the 4th damn it.

If I were a betting man I'd guess the demo will drop around August 28. Maybe 21, but no sooner.
 
Strike it Up by Blackbox is probably my favorite song ever, and they play it at every Rangers game. I like were EA is headed by putting these arena staples in as the soundtrack, but we still need proper goal songs as well.

You just have to play more, dude. :lol

Starting out with a base skater sucks. OTP counts towards everything, so if no one else is on, hop in one of those. Once you start getting more stat points, its way better.


Demo will probably be out mid-August.
