I'm worried about that too. I'm 2.3 seasons in (Episode 4 of Season 3). If it wasn't the slight dip in season 2, I would already be claiming this is one of the best tv shows ever. But I hear it just gets amazing at the end of season 3 and 4, so it may just end up being my favorite tv show ever.

I don't understand the hate the second season gets. I loved the docks. But the fourth season, without giving away too much, is the best television you'll ever see.

Watched Season 2 of the Wire BEFORE Generation Kill and it nearly ruined the latter series for me, I was laughing every time James Ransone came onscreen.
