Maya the Bee?
Eureeka's Castle?
The World of David the Gnome?
The Adventures of the Little Koala?
The Littl' Bits?
Danger Mouse?
Count Duckula?

Of course not.

Are those even Nick Toons? I do remember and liked Eureeka's Castle though.

Why are you assholes bringing up all these forgotten Canadian Nickelodeon shows that no one gives a shit about in the states(Except Double Dare of course).

I want a dedicated channel for the best show of all time.

I had teacher that work on this show and has some film cells of Artie

I've also takes to Danny and seems to be a down to earth guy

But I can't wait for the channel going to sit down with a huge bowl of captain crunch with my nephew.

what is the albert einstein looking character at about 8 seconds into that video, between a shot of heffer/rocko/filburt and otto rocket's dumb fucking face, from? that's the only thing that i can't place, it looks vaguely like it could be from aaah real monsters but i'm not sure.

also an interesting lack of doug.

I'm bummed about this as well. But I think it's because Disney owns the rights to Doug still?

Instant wave of happiness washed over me when I saw this. Hope it comes to Comcast and I hope that it's part of my package

I can see it performing better as a block. The first year and a half The 90's Are All That killed in the ratings, though most of the audience was still in college then. This last year has seen no events, no engagement. Part of it is the timeslot, 12 am to 2am, the audience is out of college mostly and with jobs. Another part is being out of college and out of parents houses means most of the audience doesn't even have TV services anymore.

Nickelodeon really needs to get with the times and launch a streaming service already.

The problem with the 90s Are All That block was that they only cared about it for a year or two, for the longest time it's been on autopilot. Hey Arnold, Rugrats, Catdog, and Rocket Power have been the only shows airing on the block for the longest time now, with the exception of a few special weeks where they aired select episodes of other shows. Also many shows, like Pete and Pete, have never made an appearance on the block.

90s are all that was such a let down cause they show the same lineup every single night since it premiered , except putting different shows that one time and showing one night of are you afraid of the dark , what the fuck

idk man, i am gonna cut cable off, mackattk is right, start a sub service with live action shows

we need Fifteen, free bae Brooke and Olaf the god

Eh, still better than Cartoon Network and their strategy of drilling the same 5 or so shows into kids' heads and never showing any of their older stuff.

Hey, at least they can create good new content.

Nick's "ideas" are just insulting at times

Here's the press release. It's not going to be it's own stand alone channel, merely an expanded replacement for current The 90's Are All That block.

NEW YORK – Sept. 24, 2015 – Millennials who crave the iconic Nickelodeon shows of their childhood, including Kenan & Kel, Rugrats, Hey Arnold! and more, can rejoice. Starting Monday, Oct. 5, Nickelodeon will throw back to the ‘90s every day with the launch of “The Splat,” a new multiscreen content destination spanning television, seven social media platforms and a dedicated web site aggregating the most loved Nick content from the 1990s and beyond. “The Splat” will dive deep to create a retro experience filled with landmark Nickelodeon programs; classic programming stunts like Nick or Treat, U-Pick and Super Toy Run; the recreation of specific days of programming as they aired in the ‘90s; and original promos and interstitials, including the Doo-wop Dinosaurs and the Opera Lady. “The Splat” will roar to life across all platforms on Monday, Oct. 5, launching that night on television on TeenNick from 10 p.m. – 6 a.m. (ET/PT).

well, there we have it. hopefully it has more variety than the 90s are all that ultimately had, which was a good idea but grew stale fast when it decided to rerun the same shows in perpetuity.

I'm probably the only person that wants it, but it'd be awesome to see 100 Deeds for Eddie McDowd on TV again. I loved that as a kid.

Looks like the Nick@Nite for the 90s kids. Hopefully the Web content will be substantial.

The one thing I remember about that show was they actually had the characters constantly changing their cloths.

Well, technically only Ginger and the other school girls, everyone else had one standard outfit, which made it kinda weird that Dodie's brother was nicknamed after his iconic hoody, yet he wasn't the only one who didn't change clothes.

But in all seriousness, this show is rock solid, still holds up and shit got very real very often, i think the level of maturity it handed real issues kids could relate to was what made it such a hit.

And if you weren't into that you could always just enjoy Carl's and Hoodsy's wacky super natural antics.

I assume The Amanda Show won't be part of that as it started airing late '99. Ah well, a nice initiative this I think. I used to watch these shows:

  • Aaahh!!! Real Monsters
  • Animorphs
  • Clarissa Explains It All
  • Doug
  • Kenan & Kel
  • Rocko's Modern Life
  • Rugrats
  • The Angry Beavers
  • The Journey of Allen Strange
Good shows.

The majority of that is 80s Nick. For some reason, Nickelodeon HATES 80s Nick.

Hell, just for the nostalgia of it, I'd KILL for Nick to re-air Pinwheel or Today's Special. Hell, even some of the OLDER programming, just for kicks. Maybe on Nick Jr or something.

Eh, still better than Cartoon Network and their strategy of drilling the same 5 or so shows into kids' heads and never showing any of their older stuff.

That's basically what MOST of Nickelodeon's channels do already as well. I know WHY they do it(spam the most popular shows to hell because people love them), but I wish they wouldn't. Again, I'm sounding old, but I did like when programming was more diverse. It made "new episodes" that premiered each week all that more special.

So, it's like Toonami in terms of extending an existing block and adding nostalgic bumps, but on a nightly schedule? That's not too bad, especially since there's online content. The target demo is steadily shying away from cable, and IIRC, TeenNick costs extra from most providers.

Yeeeeaahhh. Looks like the 90's cartoon movie rumor might be true too.
it's not really complete if they don't have random episodes of Guts, Legends of the Hidden Temple, Nick Arcade, What Would You Do, Double Dare, etc mixed in with the Nicktoons. Still, this is much better than the shit the regular Nick channel plays these days.

Yeah, but at least here in the US, there used to be a channel directly for that. Don't think it lasted long before it was yanked.

Edit: Actually, looks like all but Nick Arcade got in for the timeslot. Not too bad.

Man, look at all that nostalgia. Yay for Pete and Pete, having YCDTOT is a surprise too, don't think that has aired anywhere in the US in over 20 years.

Great list of shows. This will last about a month then they will do what they always do, they add shows that had nothing to do with the 90s
