Do you live in NA? 99% chance it will.

Didn't NoA say white handhelds didn't sell or something? But yeah, I doubt it's going to be available in NA.
hilarious, if you took that photo well donemy exact feelings right now
AC adapter is sold separately. Or AC adapter available, please use the optional AC adapter Nintendo 3DS / 3DS LL / DSi / DSi LL.
What boggles my mind...I look at my OoT3D 3DS...and you shift the buttons up a few millimenters, and you have room for a second full sized circle pad. Even on the LL/XL, you put the start/select buttons underneath the secondary screen, and there's room for a circle pad underneath the A/B/X/Y buttons.
Didn't they see how universally reviled the nubs were on the original PSP?
I dunno, I could be tempted with the white one and all colour buttons, but I dunno just yet...

From here.
This suggests a charger isn't included:
That is Google translated but seems pretty clear..
Considering they're paying the equivalent of £120 (not much more than the 2DS here) it doesn't seem awful.

Is this new 3DS 100% backward compatible?
Well white and black are very good neutral colours which is why they work well with the faceplate gimmick. I wouldn't be surprised if NoA did bring them over for you lot in the Americas because of that. It seems this 3DS may not have other colour options in the future but rather special plates and themes to entice people to splash their cash. What're the chances we get the white model here in North America? Basically 0%?
The cradle looks cool. Small 3DS superior as always
Welcome to 2011. The 3DS has supported a full transfer since then. The account system is also quite old. Are you seriously saying you don't have a NNID?I have a ton of digital games. What's the transfer process? I haven't given a fuck but now the time for a full account system. Make both systems log in and full transfer.
I'm tempted to go white again like my DSi, but black would match my Wii U.White or Black...hmmmm.
If NoA gives us a white XL I'm in.
imagine you're sitting on the subway and you have the small one. He looks across the aisle and you are playing the small one sporting that awesome wood grain cover.
how would he feel?

Well one good thing about Japan getting it before us is we'll have a good choice of faceplates by the time we get it. I already expect I'll likely have to import a design I'd like as the UK will likely have a really limited selection of 3DS faceplates, I don't even think the Micro had them over here.
So based on my choice of faceplate I'll get the system that suits it best.

I do. So I can transfer everything between a new 3ds system? Am I they only one who didn't know this?Welcome to 2011. The 3DS has supported a full transfer since then. The account system is also quite old. Are you seriously saying you don't have a NNID?
No, of course it's not. Nintendo's digital system is not particularly good, but it's not THAT bad.I do. So I can transfer everything between a new 3ds system? Am I they only one who didn't know this?
It's not locked to the system?
Do we know whether it'll include a charger yet (the XL version).
If not, GTFO Nintendo, it is ridiculous to not include a charger.

You cannot download eshop demo versions without a NNID is another valid reason. Why getting a NNID when all it does is giving you access to Miiverse but barring you from ever moving to another state and using the local eShop? Besides, you don't need a NNID to transfer your stuff from one console to the other, or to have your digital stuff safe if you lose your console or something.
I don't believe this is technically true. The systems use local wireless during the transfer, which doesn't utilize any wifi access points at all. Of course, you do have to have Internet access at several points during the process, and be within about 30 feet of each other, so they will likely be on the same network, but theoretically, they could each be on their own wifi network. No, but you need to have both systems on the same Wifi network to do the transfer.
If NoA gives us a white XL I'm in.
Sorry, I haven't been following this thread after the initial announcement. Is this system the successor handheld to the 3DS line or is it more like a small enhancement like DS -> DSi?

So you can't transfer backwards? Is that normal?Q: Is it possible to move the data and software from Nintendo 3DS / 3DS LL?
A: You can move to New Nintendo 3DS / New 3DS LL from Nintendo 3DS / 3DS LL.
(It is not possible to move the data to the Nintendo 3DS / 3DS LL from New Nintendo 3DS / New 3DS LL.)
Q: Do you support the settlement of using the Suica?
A: We consider the correspondence.
Q: Does the New 3DS no longer have a wireless switch that was on the Nintendo 3DS / 3DS LL?
A: Physical switch is no longer there, but you can turn the radio ON or OFF at any time from the HOME menu.
Q: What should you do to prepare the move?
A: - It requires an environment where the Internet can communicate. (Both of communication between body and Internet connection (local communication) is also done)
You must make sure that the battery is fully charged, and carried out while charging. (You can not transfer when the battery power is low)
(Only for Nintendo 3DS / 3DS LL → New Nintendo 3DS / New 3DS LL)
Due to the SD card of the Nintendo 3DS / 3DS LL, you are unable to insert it into the microSD card slot of the New Nintendo 3DS / New 3DS LL, the data must be moved to the microSD card.
How to move the data,
You can be use any of the two options: Copy manually using the transfer and a computer using wireless communication (local communication) in the body to each other.
If you want to copy by using a personal computer, and SD card slot / microSD card slot of a personal computer, card reader / writer that supports SD card / microSD card, Phillips screwdriver for removing the battery cover (size: No. 1) is required .
Looks like they messed up the colours... there's no white LL, only Blue and Black (they actually have a pic of the White N3DS instead for the Black LL).
But anyway, damn it... those prices are so tempting... But with region-locking, it's pretty useless to me, especially as I've gone 100% digital with games. Now if I actually were fluent in Japanese...
Does anyone know what is that? Just a small indentation for the finger when you use the nub?
It says on the site (Google Translate):
So you can't transfer backwards? Is that normal?
Also:
Also due to the New 3DS not accepting SD cards, there's extra steps to transfer between the two right? Bad translation aside:
I translated via Google and paraphrased a few sentences, but I didn't want to change too much since I don't want to mistranslate anything. Anything interesting here?

The thing is it won't be £120 in the UK. Retailers will price it about £150-170, which is about the current 3DS XL price (regularly goes down to £120-130). I hope the charger is included.
Also, the 2DS goes down in price regularly to £70-80.
Yes there's extra steps to transfer your stuff. You'd do a full system transfer, take the original full SD card (which still has all the data), copy it's contents onto your computer, put in a microSD card (through an adapter) into your computer, copy the content onto that, then remove the microSD from the adapter and put it into your n3DS
A system transfer doesn't actually move content from SD card to SD card, it just moves stuff stored on the internal memory, and transfers the licenses for all content from the old system to the new one
DS -> DSi
Ah thanks guys. I'll probably skip on this since I just got the gold Zelda XL less than a year ago...unless of course New Majora's Mask happens exclusively on this system! ;_;It's a DS -> DSi style enhancement.
Yeah, I know it won't be that price - we always get screwed over with price - but if it doesn't include the charger it still isn't too bad.
Hopefully it will be £150, I kind of want one now.. but I will wait until the new models probably.. it isn't really worth getting one now is it? I mean, I want Smash, but I have a WiiU.
It would be stupid not to include a charger again, the majority of people buying the XL probably don't own the original, and if they did they'd likely have traded it in:/
