What strikes me as the most bizarre is that nobody is begging for Galaxy to be ported or something.

It's stuff like "Galaxy was a good game, but can you imagine how much better it would be on an HD system?"
In the same sense that FFVII is a N64 game.remz said:NMH was originally meant to be a PS3/360 game anyway wasn't it?

you're not going to be playing this with a game controller? :0AceBandage said:I really wonder what they'll do with the opening.
Are they going to have him say "And you there, holding the game controller"?
It just seems so... wrong...

You kind of just sold me on the game.
The gas station minigame is one of the highlights of this gen for me.AniHawk said:The non-action minigames are godawful. And you're forced to do them. And there's this whole process involved where you have to go somewhere, activate the quest, then go to where the quest is and do the quest. I don't know if you have to go back to where you activated the quest in the first place to collect the money. It's been two years and I only played through the game once.
The sequel sounds like they're fixing a lot of those problems so I've got hopes that this will be more entertaining outside of the story.
John Harker said:I think my only real issue comes down with them announcing it before NMH2 was released.
I don't particularly care what platform it's on, personally, since I'm just a big fan... but I can't help but feel that people who skip out on the Wii version and go straight to this are doing themselves a big disservice.
Graphics were never the highlight of this game, and all this really offers the gamer is better graphics. I think people who are stoked to 'finally be interested in this game' simply because the graphics are better are totally missing the point. Of course this doesn't apply to Xbox/PS3 only owners, but the control for the Wii is done so perfectly, it's so comfortable and the speaker usage is the best I've experienced, well, ever, and the visceral satisfaction of nailing a wrestling move or doing a motion-finisher... I don't know, you're losing all of that. This isn't definitive to me, or how it was intended to be played.
How silly will some of the wrestling moves feel, or not being able to switch stances on the fly by tilting, or the gym training exercises, or some of the mini games, on a standard controller? It'll just feel kind of... I don't know, pointless.
So anyway, I'm glad Xbox and PS3 only owners will get to experience this amazing game (the story and characters alone are worth it) but those who also own a Wii who say they'll skip out on NMH2 waiting for the PS3 port or whatever... I don't know, this is where it makes me slightly sad to see this announcement made now.
I also think it will negatively effect the sales of NMH2 Wii, which tells me this a) wasn't Grasshopers idea and b) wasn't Ubisoft's idea. I know Suda originally concepted it to be an Xbox game, but that's nowthow it was ultimately designed and not why it was such a big success... and based on recent interviews, it seems he intends it to stay on this console line.
So Marvelous needs the cash and are porting it themselves, go ahead, but they should have announced it after NMH2 and released later with some extra content or something. Oh well. At least more people will meet Travis... maybe I'll even pick it up, which is likely, but at least I experienced it how it was meant to be already.

You're missing so many points I'm not over sure what you're hitting.I mean so it has better graphics. So what? That's completely against the point. I mean this is almost as bad as when Capcom ported Dead Rising to the Wii. Who gives a shit that the game has motion controls?

Parl said:Killer 7 had a very mixed response from people who played it. Had it been very much positive, then it probably would have sold better on PS2 than GC, unless it happened to be that most interested members of the gaming population happened to have a GC. If they weren't, then it was because the interested parties became uniterested in the game for whatever reason. Mostly, it seems, because of poor WOM, or even a lack of WOM, which can take the wind out of potential future sales.

You're right, but No More Heroes is a Wii title. So even though it's compatible with the Classic Controller, I'd still like you to enjoy it with the Wii Remote because that's how No More Heroes should be played.

Very true. Motion controls are an integral part of this game, and this is one of the reasons why I consider it the best game, or one of the best games if that makes some people feel better, on the Wii: it nailed them perfectly. To Far Away Times said:This. No More Heroes is one of my favourite games this generation. Does this mean we can't be friends anymore?Amir0x said:Wii fans, it's bad enough you guys supported this crap game enough for them to think porting this shit to PS360 is a good idea.
It's bad enough you supported the crap game enough for them to make a Wii sequel, which whether exclusive or not might as well be with the window it's going to have to itself on the platform.
The game doesn't need wii remote controls, which were lame and frequently fell into the "isn't reliable and doesn't always work as it properly should" category. It needs quality game design! A non-repetitive battle system! A story that isn't masturbatory otaku fodder! Removal of the completely bullshit overworld! Fixing the framerate! Complete destruction of all the abysmal mini-games! Something resembling decent level designs! Is it going to get that on the PS360 version? Answer: No. Don't buy into the hype, avoid it!
If people buy this on PS360 and we get NMH2 ported, I am going to write a sternly worded letter to all of you! Get better taste!
