I'm confused. Why is it listed as $450 on the Nvidia site? I thought it was being marketed as $379?

Looks like the complete opposite in the UK, with 3rd party cards going for more than the FE card.
So presumably, buying now or waiting a month won't make a difference? (we don't know of course, but from what I gather these 3rd party cards are not FE cards?)
Might have to stick with my Amazon FE. I can't refresh EVGA's page all day.
You are looking at the early marked up Founders Edition.
ok EVGA...

Wait, that's "better" than "great" or "better" than "good"?
"Look at these other 1070s! They're losers! Sad.""We're going to have the greatest 1070!! It's going to be amazing!"
That's hard to estimate, since it depends primarily on how long demand for them at a higher price will last.Ah, alright. Any estimate on when the price will go down to its normal price?

Entirely depends on demand.Ah, alright. Any estimate on when the price will go down to its normal price?
There will be custom cards for $380-400 in a month. There will be a difference - unless the demand will be so great that the supply will be completely sold out. I'm not really seeing how that will happen in July though.
I'm tempted to get a Gigabyte 1070 Founder's Edition... Never bought a Gigabyte card tho', are they usually good ?
Got my EVGA order in. Not sure how but I did it.

Which one and where... the site is clocking
SC edition.
Ugh. Digital River is distributing the cards at Nvidia's official site. Not sure if I should bite anyways.
how much? and what version is that of the 4
stay as far away from Digital River as possible
horrible
Yeah. That's already a bit closer to what a somewhat sane pricing for 1070 would be like, but with wide availability I expect it to eventually fall under the 450€ mark.I'm seeing Gainward and Inno3D reference cards listed at 479€ and 469€, respectively. (at least I think they're reference cards?)
Does make me wonder where the custom cards will end up, price-wise.
I think I just decided that's my absolute upper limit. 450€ is expensive, but the GTX1070 is by all accounts a very, very capable card.Yeah.
