Nvidia Geforce GTX 1070 Review Thread

Looks like the complete opposite in the UK, with 3rd party cards going for more than the FE card.

So presumably, buying now or waiting a month won't make a difference? (we don't know of course, but from what I gather these 3rd party cards are not FE cards?)

ok EVGA...

I doubt prices will fluctuate much - given that the 900 line isn't in production anymore from what I read - and demand will naturally be high. if Amd's line gets traction though, who knows - but from what I gather it's the 1060 that will compete against this device.

Wait, that's "better" than "great" or "better" than "good"?

There will be custom cards for $380-400 in a month. There will be a difference - unless the demand will be so great that the supply will be completely sold out. I'm not really seeing how that will happen in July though.

Looks like prices in Finland so far range from €509 to €559.

The card I was looking to buy, MSI 1070 Gaming X, is €549...
Maybe I'll wait a bit and see if the prices go down a smidgen, no confirmed shipping dates on any of them anyway.

I won't be able to get a new graphics card until August/September or so, hoping the prices have stabilized a lot more by then.

Just spotted that the 1070 FE is £399 on nVidia's official site.

I really want it but I have a feeling that I'm just rushing into it.

My 970 will tide me over I guess BUT I have a £400 bonus burning a hole in my wallet.

ARGH! Decisions.

What would be the advantage of a non FE? Just extra cooling?

Great. Because right now on Amazon UK, the MSI 1070 is about twice what a 970 costs, so I hope prices will lower a tiny bit at some point.

I'm seeing Gainward and Inno3D reference cards listed at 479€ and 469€, respectively. (at least I think they're reference cards?)

Does make me wonder where the custom cards will end up, price-wise.

how much? and what version is that of the 4

08G-P4-6173-KR

439.

It's honestly more than I wanted to spend. I was expecting more like 400-420. But I'm sitting with integrated graphics right now so I couldn't wait. The regular ACX version doesn't seem to be in stock right now though otherwise I might've tried for that.

I'm just sitting on two Amazon pre orders that I was able to get in last night for the ASUS and MSI ones. If neither end up going through, I'm okay with waiting.

stay as far away from Digital River as possible

horrible

I agree. I remember ordering the Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate w/ Wii Pro Classic Controller. Didn't include the controller, but that's okay, because they technically marked the controller as $0, so I didn't "lose" anything. Scum.

Any other sellers selling at $450?

Yeah. That's already a bit closer to what a somewhat sane pricing for 1070 would be like, but with wide availability I expect it to eventually fall under the 450€ mark.

I think I just decided that's my absolute upper limit. 450€ is expensive, but the GTX1070 is by all accounts a very, very capable card.

lololol at these Euro Prices.
FE 499€ (we knew this a long time ago)
ACX 489€
SC 499€

?¿

btw, my watcher cached the site while I was away from the PC, here are the clocks if anyone cares. EVGA seems to be down again.

I AM SHOCKED! But we should really wait until the cards are available. Wouldn't surprise me at all if t he price simply stays at 500€ and some (you know, the cheapest cards with crappy coolers nobody wants) cards will sell for 450€.

Maybe when Vega launches they will go down because of competition :P

holy crap this is loading slow.... It has gotten this far..

EVGA GeForce GTX 1070 SC GAMING ACX 3.0
P/N: 08G-P4-6173-KR
$439.99

but still is loading

$450 seems to be the norm right now... not the price i'm willing to bite at, will wait till all this settles out closer to $379.

1080 SC is $650...halfway between MSRP and Founders

1070 SC is $440...$10 less than Founders ($60 more than MSRP)

was hoping for more of an even comparison but guess that's not happening...any hopes of the FTW, Strix, Gaming X, etc being under FE pricing seems to be gone now
