Republicans still have to answer to mid term elections -- and history. If rank and file begin to realise their leaders and the administration can't keep a lid on things they will stop voting as a bloc.

It is easy to assume everyone in the GOP is as well informed as we are with our full time following of twitter trump russia investigations etc but they aren't. Many are not even familiar with a small part of it. As it dawns on them they should decide to get on the correct side of the story. It'll just take time.

Of course if Trump decides on military action against Iran or North Korea, everything will get iced in order to "support our troops". Hopefully Trump pissed off his military enough with that phony display yesterday that they'll tamp down requests to kick start an operation.
