I think people are forgetting far too soon how eager Trump's client base is to believe anything.
And if he wants to put out there that he did this because he thinks Mooch was offensive, yes anyone with common sense will bring up pot and kettle but a Trump supporter will eat it up and other Republican party leaders may also take it as a positive.
