Yes. Check that thread too on neogaf.3770k is more than enough for oculus. The gpu will be the deciding factor. That system sounds somewhat fucked up in that case.

Conflicting messages. So the Euro price doesn't include import taxes after all?
This guy is kind of a dick, huh?
I'd like a version for $50 cheaper WITHOUT an xbox one controller, considering I have 4 of them as is.

a 3770k is not compatible......I have your exact setup....welp fuck that then, not even going to bother. Will wait for PSVR then....will be cheaper no matter what I do because I already have hardware that can run the software they are making for it.
He's right though. Why should Oculus take a major hit to make up for a country's high import tax rate?
The Oculus Rift was never the device to make VR "take off" or become mainstream. Even if it was $350 it wouldn't be that device. At any price it's an early adopter enthusiast product for people with $1000+ PC's. This is the equivalent of the very first smartphone, and people are talking as if it should have immediately been the iPhone. It's going to take years.

Not really surprised. PSVR will obviously be much cheaper but will also be a lesser experience.

Thank you for making sense.

Not surprising there are early adopters for everything.

How so?

That really isn't as clever as you think, and just confirms you have no clue about emergent technology.
This hit of realism just made me change my initial prediction of PSVR's price from $99-$149 to at least $249-$299.

So is the tool only looking for free USB slots? If so then it saying "you don't have the USB slots for it" is acceptable, I only have one free USB 2.0 slot right now.

VR is a mega-flop at this price.

DOA. Makes me concerned with PS4 VR. It needs to be $299 in my opinion.
Has to be USB 3.0
Based on the impressions I've read, PS VR seems to hold its own pretty damn well.
Literally 100%.So, Oculus is $600 plus a capable PC. What are the chances of PSVR being cheaper?

VR will be just find even if one or 2 companies fail .
Nothing going to stop the VR train .
