Did I mention I ****ing LOVE TNT? They just used an Alexisonfire song for that promo!

<3<3<3<3

Kenny Smith stole that Hustle and Flow crap from 1 of the regular callers to his show

can't wait to see how he plays it off tomorrow

I'm stuck watching the 10th inning of the Blue Jays game. Ridiculous that a NBA playoff game doesn't take precedence over an early season baseball game.

crap... anyway go Kurt Thomas!

In fact, this is the part they used:
This season’s growing cold
I fear that this could be the end
There’s no sign of hope
We’ve got a crisis on our hands.

HAHAH. Isn't that PERFECT?

it occurs to me that kurt thomas or raja bell would be the third most talented offensive player on the lakers :lol

NBA playoffs wouldn't take precedence over curling up here, dude. That's raptors included by the way.

Kurt plays D and has faced big guys before. Put him on the Lakers as an undersized center and he'd thrive. He has a 15-ft jumper and can work off the pick-and-roll. And he guards C-PFs.

EDIT: Yeah true that. Also I love This Could Be Anywhere In The World so I'm biased. :D

This Could Be Anywhere In The World is my favorite Alexisonfire song to listen to in the car, but the Crisis song just fits because of that one verse to this situation moreso. It's direct.

Damn Kurt, do you know the Suns traded for you not for your scoring?

And yes, as a Knick RealGM had good nicknames for him. But I liked the ones for his insane look he gave his opponents - "CrazyEyes".

lol at the idea that the Suns traded for defensive.

:lol :lol

Damn, where are all the Laker fans here? wth?

Every Laker fan is a bandwagon fan from my experience. When they play well, they are everywhere. When they're not, it's like the team does not exist.

oh shut up you never even posted here until the Mavs made the playoffs.

stop nothing. Whenever a game was on there were like 5-6 guys here (Ninja and I forget the names). Even when my team was sucking down the stretch I was here to take crap from everyone and still do. What, they're quitting or something? Shouldn't they take inspiration from the Mavericks, who are exploring their inner GRITTINESS for a way to win the series?

That's great because I am a die hard Trailblazers fan and yet I am still posting? I really couldn't care less about the Mavs, they are not the team I follow with my heart.

Get your facts straight fool.

I know people like that but it really doesn't make sense to say "Where are the Laker fans?" They could be watching the game with their friends or aren't by their computer...

Since the Lakers are doomed tonight thanks to Konex getting a headline, here's some JAX greatness.

http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/playoffs2007/news/story?id=2858133

If I wanted to blow up, I could've blew up then. Why blow up when there's 8 seconds left when the game is over? It doesn't make no sense. Do I have 'moron' written on my forehead when I walk out on the court or something? I don't. ... I'm smarter than a lot of people think. I'm going to continue to play basketball and do what I do.

Not just talking about on the internet. Portland has a lot of bandwagon Lakers fans, it's disgusting.

There are two camps of Laker fans.( All teams for that matter)

Those who blindly believe that the ole Laker "magic" will save the team and the season and others who have realized that this team isn't very good.

The Lakers are the 7th seed and they are the worst team in the West.

The ones that have realized this are mostly silent.

Saying Laker fans are frontrunners is crazy. Plenty of Laker fans post here, myself, Bionic, RC, ryutaro ect... have been consistent posters in NBA season threads here for years. And saying "all laker fans are bandwagon fans" is simply stupid. If you don't think a team with the history of the Lakers has some diehard fans, you are crazy. Lakers have no more bandwagon fans than any other teams.

Seems true for all LA sports, really. Where were all these famous and myriad USC fans before Pete Carroll arrived?

I remember in 2000, seeing all those ****ing Laker flags on like 97% of the cars in southern California. Ugh.

jesus christ you honestly don't think USC had fans before Pete Carroll? Some of you are dense. Obviously they are more vocal when teams have success, but as i said before, that pretty much goes for every team in all of sports. You think most "Heat fans" in miami gave a shit about the team before Shaq got there? Its not exclusive to Los Angeles.

A flag on your car does not a fan make.

After 9/11 there were a bunch of US flags on cars across the country.

Can't seem to find one now.

The Lakers are seriously pathetic. Nobody can frikken score consistenly besides Kobe. They can't rebound or shoot fts either. Just a bad, bad team...

To add to that, Scooter, LA doesn't have a Pro Football team.

That may have something to do with it....

I just think that LA-based bandwagon fans are more prominent because so many of them come out of the woodworks when an LA team is doing well. But that just might because LA has a huge population to begin with. Then again, you'd think there would be more die hards around because of the huge LA population. Knick fans seem to be more supportive because they at least speak out when their team is playing like shit.

When a Lakers team is being mediocre? There is no outcry, which is a shame.

WTF? All season the Lakers fans here have bitched about their team being mediocre.
