Sorry rc but Ethier is auditioning for the Red Sox next year. No way Dodgers can afford him and Kemp...:(
Meh, I dunno, Ethier is already getting $9.5 and Kemp $7. I don't see any reason why Ethier is worth more than $11-12.. Kemp probably will get 12-13 and have it ramp up at th backend to around $16-17. If we don't keep them, they better burn that motherfucker down.

I am most scared about re-signing Kershaw whenever his deal is up. Dude is only getting $500k right now.

Sure, I hear it. I guess they have short memories too because I think I’ve been pretty good here. It doesn’t bother me, but it just shows some people’s true colors. You’re either a fan or you’re not.

You don’t boo your own team. I don’t care who you are or what you say or just because you spent your money to come here to watch us play that somebody happens to make one bad pitch and give up a homer and you are going to start booing him? I’ve been here for five years, and four years I’ve been pretty good.

You should go write stories about the fans booing. They are supposed to be the best fans in baseball. Yeah right.

I'm with the bearded leprechaun.

You boo your team, you're a piece of shit. I was at CBP when they booed Cole Hamels recently. Everyone I saw booing might as well of been wearing a pink hat an eating ketchup on their hot dog.

Edit: And holding up "Chase Utley, FUCK ME!" signs.

I don't check the thread for a day and someone actually beats me to naming Alvaro Espinoza as my favorite Yankee. Gonna have to go with my backup choice of Andy Stankiewicz now.

(serious answer: Mattingly, Mariano)

Yet you respond to most of my posts. I don't like you, so I ignore most of yours. Simple concept really.

Can't you people read: I said I was in a land with no internet!

And it seems that me yelling at the team has resulted in a little winning streak. I shall continue to berate them over the internet if that's what it takes to get Vlad and Weiters to hit.

#Braves lineup: 1. Prado LF, 2. Gonzalez SS, 3. Jones 3B, 4. Uggla 3B, 5. Freeman 1B, 6. Ross C, 7. McLouth CF, 8. Young RF, 9. Jurrjens P
thats uh..a interesting lineup..

Booing your team is completely appropriate in my eyes, but a lot of it depends on the situation. I think it keeps the players working their hardest and prevents complacency. The Flyers could have used some booing late in this hockey season.

Actually all it takes is a crack at the Twins' rotation. I assume Baker is going to get shelled today.

If I actually lived in Seattle and went to games. I'd be booing the FUCK out of Jack Cust and Chone Figgins. All season, every game, every appearance.

I'm glad you waited until after they played the Tribe :)

Jason Bay will be activated in time for tonight’s game, and he will likely take Bobby Parnell‘s place on the roster, who is expected to be placed on the 15 day disabled list with numbness in his finger.
Numbness in his brain is also acceptable.

Well, I thought I wouldn't need too, but the Indians are playing good ball right now. Really surprised actually. I didn't see Hafner rebounding at all, or Sizemore. Cabrera is doing well too. Hell, the Indians best hitter isn't even doing much (Choo), and they are still winning.

Whether they keep it going all year will be a different story, but at least they have a fun team to watch at the moment.

If Bills got that amount of a contract Kersh gonna get at least double of that...yikes!!!!!!! I willing to pay extra for kethcup, mustard, relish and a lid for my drink to get them....If they need to get the extra money to keep them...LOL

Johnson hit that one like he was shooting it out of a t-shirt launcher

...god that was awful, I'm sorry. I just realize Mike "Winona Ryder" Leake was on the mound today.

Ugh. It's a horrible choice to have to make, but an easy one. As much as I despise the Cardinals, their obnoxious, bitchy, bandwagony, pink-redsox-cap-esque legion of fair weather fans are worse by a STL suburban mile.

Ryan Franklin sure has a high approval rating today on the Royals blogs, I can tell you that.

If the Braves could get Felix for Heyward and a pretty surefire pitching prospect, would you Braves peoples bite?

Personally, I feel like we have enough pitching depth. It seems like the outfield has been the biggest problem for us the last few years. It got a boost with Prado in left and then Heyward in right. He won't slump forever.

Lol.
Bays last game was great. 4-4 with 2 hrs. Hopefully he comes swinging the bat. Mets need to get their shit together. Beat Astros and sweep Dbacks.

hmm tough one. You should ask Peter at http://capitolavenueclub.com/ and maybe he can do one of those nifty charts.

Anyway, Felix only has three more years on his contract after this season(59.5 mil, FA 2015) and has a no-trade clause for 10 teams vs. Heyward who has 4 years after this season. (3 arbitration, FA 2016)

Then there is the fact that the braves are loaded with pitching talent which is almost ready and then of course i always take the hitter over the pitcher if they are comparable. I guess it really depends on who the pitching prospect is, which would probably have to be Pineda.

I like your answer better than mine.

I meant it'd be something like Heyward/Delgado for Felix/outfielder.

Cecil sent to Vegas, Chris (ugh, again?) Woodward called up. So, right now we've got RR, Morrow, Drabek, Reyes on the team, and I guess Litsch is gonna get called up in a few days with Luis Perez going down.

alright i used that chart system from capitolavenueclub.com and assumed heyward and felix peform like they did last season through the entire contract. I also used the 40/60/80 for Heyward's arbitration #s and then made them a little bit higher.

anyway, not close. The Mariners would have to give up another player (or more) for it to be fair.

edit: wtf are the dodgers wearing today, eww. I like the braves retro ones though.

edit: and you know what, i think i got that chart wrong, (but close enough) but the point still stands, the mariners would have to give up another player.

i wonder if i can buy one of these retro braves uniforms, love the black and yellow tomahawk and the indian logo.
Good thing we're facing a bum like Kershaw.
i don't know why Kershaw even woke up today, he has no chance.

He was a hit in Atlanta last year (especially with the pitchers) . Maybe he could back up Alex at SS. Or be one side of the batting cage.
