COME ON ATLANTA! And fuck you New Jersey.. you dudes need to fucking win tonight, dammit.

They figured it wouldn't be right to help out one team but not the other. :lol

Nets had better get back on track...I want 50 wins damnit!

:lol @ Spurs. Heading into the playoffs with a full head of...gasping for air. Three losses at home the past week or so.

This team is done.

It's a case of sleepwalking into the playoffs. They do it almost every year. The first half of the game, they were dominating, then the 3rd quarter is when it fell apart. 4th quarter they couldn't make a basket. They also shot like 50% at the line. It's still one more back to back set left too.

Well.... Dallas lost to the freakin Warriors so this loss doesn't hurt that bad.

These flagrants fouls in this mavs/suns are some of the worst. That wasn't a flagrant on james jones, that fool flopped to the floor hard......

Just look at Darrell Armstrong. No way he could commit a flagrant.

Holy crap the Suns can't miss from the 3. Looks like we'll give away the shot at the division yet again. Luckily all these luck 3's won't fall for Phoenix come playoff time :D

Doesnt matter who they pick, everyone knows all the people with actual votes will pussy out and pick nash.

We all know who is the best player anyway...

More like it's a case of the Magic playing the best of any team in the NBA right now. Explain to me how being down at half time = dominating the first half? Really sucks that are chances of making the playoffs are so slim.. I think we could give Detroit a serious run considering we just beat them and how hot we've been. Shame :(

Oh and congrats to Darko on a new season high of 14! ;)

Of course there is no way Dirk will actually win it, but I respect Charles and Kenny's opinion a lot. Most voters will pick LeBron anyway.

Lebron better not fucking win. I rather see anyone other than him win. The cavs wouldnt even make the playoffs in the West. And if everyone is arguing Kobe cant win it because his team is in the 7th spot, Lebron shouldnt win it with his weak team and "Oh shit, i have the last shot of the game? I better pass it!" Mentality. Yes i know he hit the gamewinner against the Hornets, but thats the only one i can recall in recent memory.

Wait, now that I think about it -- that must be a career high for Darko! This kid is gonna be good.. he'll never be as good as some of the guys drafted after him or even as good as Dwight Howard, but he's scored in double figures 12 times now (out of 27 games) for us which is pretty solid. If he gets 32 or so minutes a game next year, he should definitely get near a double double on many nights.

I think he could easily be a 13 pt, 8 rebound type of guy which are pretty solid numbers for an Eastern Conference center. It will be a nice compliment to the 20/13 that Dwight will average next year. The two of them in the middle could be a daunting tandem for years to come with Darko getting the blocks and Dwight pulling down the rebounds. We gave Battie an extension for some reason (4 years?!) and while I think he's a solid player, he's 30 and Darko's 20.. easy choice on who to groom for the future.

Isn't there still some hope left for the Magic to make the playoffs? Philly plays Miami and Orlando back to back then the Nets. Chicago also plays Miami and Orlando back to back.

Believe.

There's a chance, if we can win out then we've got a great shot, but with it down to 3 games and being 2.5 out, it's a long one. Just gotta keep winning and maybe things will fall into place.

I've been rooting for Darko for a while. Now that he gets enough PT, his stats are starting to show. I think there's been at least 10 games where he got 2-3 blocks and scoring in double digits.

I think Steele said his career high is 16 against the Hawks last year. The rest of the post is dead on. The guy has an amazing skill set already. I've been floored by how great his touch is around the basket and his passing. I can't wait.

You'd think the league would "fix it" so the Magic make the playoffs.:) I wouldn't be suprised to see them win the lottery after all this even though their current chance is .8%.

Oh and Fuck. The. Nets.! We should be within 1.5 games going into tonight.

Duncan was on fire during the time he was on the court. Perhaps his best game in weeks. The rest of the team were trying to ride him to the win which backfired.

Simmons picks Kobe for MVP? Now i've seen it all. If the number 1 Kobe hater can admit KB8's the MVP, then maybe he's really got a shot!

Yah but the average hater with an MVP vote will still leave Kobe off the ballot altogether or give him a measly 5th place vote (1pt).

He's not going to win it but at least he's getting the respect he deserves from some detractors...

If it weren't for his baggage he would have won the award easily this year.

And Simmons can make some sense when he isn't praising Brady. He is right that 5 years from now the only thing we will remember are the NBA champs and that Kobe scored 81 points in a game.

I'm at work and the computer doesnt have a headphone jack on the front or anything for me to plug into.. can you summarize or at least mention a few key points that were said? Would be amazing.

Basically he's surprised at Darko's play and hopes he continues to improve next year. He also expects Grant Hill at training camp.

Nooooo, Grant needs to retire after this season. He's too much of a liability. :( At least we only have 1 year left of his monster deal.

There's perhaps dozen players in the league who could legitimately lay claim to the MVP award.

Carmelo Anthony
Elton Brand
Kobe Bryant
Chauncy Billiups
Vince Carter/Jason Kidd
Lebron James
Steve Nash/Shawn Marion
Dirk Nowitzki
Tony Parker
Dwayne Wade

If any of those players won, it wouldn't bother me a bit.

I'm surprised no one is mentioning Gerald Wallace as a candidate for Most Improved...with 4 games left, he only needs 4 blocks to become only the third player in league history to average 2 steals and 2 blocks in a season. He has raised his FG% from 45% to 54% this year, he's dropped his TOs from 2.3 to 1.8 and he's averaging nearly 16 ppg.
