A couple months ago I decided to play a bit of CB3 and a couple of my friends arrived while I was playing. We ended up doing time trials, trying to beat each other's time. I haven't laugh that hard ever since.

It was my fucking childhood for about 3 hours. I'm 24 and I still fucking love Crash Bandicoot.

Sony please! I beg you!

Despite all my doubt, it looks like something may indeed be happening. Man, I hope when Crash is re-revealed everyone flashes back to their childhood and gets excited instead of going, "Eh, mascot platformer whatever."

It's fine to keep dreaming, but people keep seeing tiny bits and pieces and end up making mountains out of mole hills when there's little to no basis for it. Just don't blame Sony or ND when we don't get any new info come VGX, or E3, or Gamescon, or TGS, or...

Well Nintendo certainly still know how to make quality platformers. If Nintendo want to buy the Crash franchise and revive it with a quality game I say let them.

So I noticed that Activision doesn't have many games released 2010 or before listed on their website. The last Crash game was released in 2010 on iOS.

No offense to Twisted Metal and Sly Cooper, but neither of those are anywhere close to the popularity of Crash Bandicoot. Crash was THE franchise for the PS1. Despite the fact the series hasn't been seen in a long time, Crash is one of those videogame characters that's instantly recognisable to the masses. Like Sonic or Lara Croft. A good Crash reboot exclusively for PlayStation would get a hell of a lot more hype, buzz and interest than something like Twisted Metal or Sly.

Doubt it.

Crash is probably the closest the Playstation brand ever had to a title character or face to the brand (just look at the sales of the PS1 Crash series, Crash was big in his prime). A new Crash Bandicoot has potential given the right team develops it and it is developed on the right budget too.

But it's not too late for a Crash branded fighting game in the future. Hell, go the Sega and Sumo digital route. A general PlayStation fighting game ala All Stars but with the main mascot fronting it and in the title.

I think some people need to let go of the idea that Sony is buying by the Crash IP and releasing a new game. It's not out of the realm of possibility and it would be insanely awesome news, but it's not in the cards for Sony right now. Maybe at some point in the future, but I'm not expecting any sort of announcement from Sony about Crash any time soon.

Really? I've spoken to plenty of non gamers who know who Crash Bandicoot is. Crash is a bigger character than you're giving it credit for.

He's bigger than sweet tooth or sly. But he's not even close to sonic.

Anyway hopefully a new game gets made for the ps4. And hopefully it sells well and leads to a few sequels. I've just become a bit cynical after Sony has been killing off low/average selling, non AAA franchises left and right.

At least he'll be in all the ps4 party games.
