Hold on a second...this match is taking place at Stamford Bridge?!

You're are kidding me right... Yes, I hope Chelsea loses today.

Come on Celtics you can do something!!!!

27 goals...

I have to say, Jol's substitution's ****ing sucked. Taking off Berbatov and Lennon? What the hell, take off Defoe who's been useless.

Erm...was Cashley Mole letting someone feel up his leg? Keep that shit in the dressing room man.

Oh yeah, Rangers won 1-0...Ugo Ehiogu's stunning bicycle effort wound up being the difference, and to their credit they did a good job dictating play in the second half in hostile territory. Not a great week for Celtic, but at least they're gonna win the league (*sigh*).

Meanwhile, Ronaldo just scored against Inter :lol...1-0 AC. Best weekend of soccer action in a long time.

I can't believe this, well actually I can, because that's what I thought would happen. Spurs are just too stupid to hang on to a 2 goal lead. Second time this season.

On the other hand - the result is very good for the league, since both Manutd and Chelsea have a replay now.

The Ronaldo strike was quality...left footer angled shot from 20 yards out. Just what Inter fans wanted to see. :lol Been a lot of chances at both ends as well, so I wouldn't be surprised if another couple goals are scored.

Gotta say, it's pretty cool seeing Ian Rush in the Star Sports studio. Aside from the grey hair he looks almost exactly like how he did 20 years ago.

Blackburn/Man City coming up in a half hour...go Rovers!

1-1 in the Milan derby, as Cruz comes on as a sub, scores on his first touch, then puts a volleyed back heeler just over the bar.

Blackburn start at 4, so that's still about 30 minutes off.

Our team is as you'd expect, just Tugay in for Dunn from the last game and that was always going to happen as he's suspended.

I feel like I should be more worried before this game, but I'm just not. Given the number of underdogs either winning or at the least not losing recently, I probably should be, but I expect us to win.

I'm slightly more worried now I've said we should win.

2-1 final...Inter with their first league double over their arch rivals in 25 years. Guess that's what happens when AC isn't buying victories. :lol

Very funny, it's ****ing ancelottis fault. Kick that asshole

Well deserved goal for Blackburn, Man City have been poor besides a few attacks. I think Hamann has been Man City's best player, it's a wonder why they didn't play him more.

Haha

I'm not very happy with our performance. Not enough going through Pedersen, and we've given City too many chances to put the ball into our box.

Still, we're winning and Hughes is normally good at half-time.

YES!

I don't think Man City threatened us once seriously once we were 10 men down.

Please get Watford or Plymouth in the draw, please get Watford or Plymouth...

Man City got outplayed, they didn't look threatening once, the whole matc. Deserved win for Blackburn.

And wow.. Sevilla lost 1-0 against Gimnastic.

:lol La Liga is gonna have the greatest finish for any top league in years...good stuff. Pisses me off even more that Madrid lost now.

The FA Cup semi-finals aren't going to be at Wembley, are they? Apparently that's the plan for the future, but it ****ing pisses me off as you shouldn't get to go to Wembley until the final. They're making it less special.

I'm hoping that it's too soon this year for it to happen. I don't know if it is though, they have that public day thing soon and the England - Italy U21 match on March 24th, and if those two go okay then they can start hosting proper events. The FA Cup semi-finals are scheduled for the weekend of April 14th, over 3 weeks later.

If Blackburn and Watford meet in the semi-final, the stadium wouldn't even be half full.

I don't get using Wembley for the semi's, though I suppose it'd be one way to help pay for that white elephant a little quicker. But as you said, it takes a bit of the shine away from the final. I'd suggest using Cardiff for the semis, but getting to that place seems to have caused a lot of problems over the years (including the Carling Cup final last month).

If we get past Roma I can see us getting to the final. Could see the Scouse doing it as well, now that would be some final. Bayern and Milan just aren't performing well at all. Still Europe is different, if we do beat Roma I think I'd prefer Milan tbh.

yeah, that's not great news for PSV - he's the reason you're still in the CL.

anyway:

Jose admits Real dream

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has admitted it would be an 'honour' to manage Real Madrid.

The Portuguese tactician's future at Chelsea has been the subject of constant speculation in the last few months amid reports of an alleged rift with owner Roman Abramovich.

Mourinho, who insists he will not walk out on Chelsea, revealed over the weekend he clashed with Abramovich over the club's refusal to enter the transfer market in January.

The former Porto chief has been strongly linked with a move to Real Madrid in the summer with the Spanish giants expected to part with Fabio Capello after a disappointing campaign.

Capello has failed to win over the Real faithful this season and his job is under increasing pressure following their UEFA Champions League exit to Bayern Munich.

Mourinho, who was in Spain to take in Champions League opponents Valencia's clash with Osasuna, told Spanish television he would be interested in a switch to El Santiago Bernabeu, but ruled out any move next season.

"For me it would be an honour to be in the bench of Real Madrid," Mourinho told Canal Plus.

"I do not discard this in the future but not now.

"I know the rumours in the papers but I don't any more.

"It is possible that Real is not interested in me."

"I reject the option of Real for the next season because I have a contract until the year 2010 with Chelsea.

"I am lover of English football.

"Today Real Madrid have a big coach like Fabio Capello."

contract with Real already signed? Seems so ...

Mourinho at Real, the Barça rivalry will be even greater if that happens.

(him being assistant for like 4 years over there)

seems my 20 million transfer fund guess for the summer was correct:

Wenger promised summer funds

Arsene Wenger has been assured that that his budget for summer transfers will not be affected by Arsenal's UEFA Champions League exit.

The Gunners bowed out of Europe in midweek as they lost their last 16 clash 2-1 on aggregate to PSV Eindhoven.

Managing director Keith Edelman had hoped Arsenal would reach the Champions League final for a second year in succession, but he maintains the club's financial plan had accounted for an earlier defeat.

Wenger will therefore be given a considerable transfer war chest, believed to be in excess of £20million, to bolster his squad in the summer

"It will not affect the manager's budget at all. It certainly will not mean it will be cut in any way," Edelman confirmed.

"If we had gone all the way to the final it might have been increased, but the budget is set based on a exit from the first knock-out round.

"Arsene will have money he always knew he would have, regardless of the result against PSV Eindhoven.

"Of course it was a massive disappointment to everyone at Arsenal but it won't affect the financial side of things."

and Henry wants to bounce back (I am absolutely positive that he will, too. If he stays free of injuries this time that is.)

Henry determined to bounce back

Thierry Henry has admitted he is devastated to have been ruled out for the remainder of the season, but is positive he will return to his best next term.

The France star has been plagued by niggling injury problems since the summer, but made a return to action for Arsenal in midweek.

His appearance from the bench against PSV Eindhoven proved to be a false dawn, however, as he damaged groin and stomach muscles and the club have revealed he will be sidelined for three months.

Henry has revealed the scan results left him feeling very low, but he is determined to find his best form once again for Arsenal.

"I am obviously devastated," he told The Sun. "I will miss the rest of the season. It is a tough end to what has been a difficult season for me. It has been very frustrating.

"But I hope to get back to full fitness soon and will then look forward to having a great season with Arsenal next year.

"This setback will make me even more determined, yet it has certainly been one thing after another."

Henry feels he is paying the price for not having a proper break after a lengthy previous campaign.

He added: "Last season was a very long one for me, right up to the Champions League final and then the World Cup final with France.

"I only had a few weeks' break and then the Premiership started.

"First of all, there was the sciatic nerve problem, which kept me out for a while. Then, most recently of all, the foot injury. Now these injuries against PSV."

Rumours going around is that Liverpool have scrapped their plans for a 60,000-seater stadium and have put construction on hold because they want to build a 90,000-seater stadium instead.

Don't think it's true though.

I don't think so either. That would be doubling the current capacity, that would be a big gamble. You don't want 10k - 30k empty seats if in any way avoidable.

If they want a bigger stadium they will do it like Arsenal I think, build a 60,000 stadium and see how it goes, if it's a sell out for a few years you can always extend it. I think Asburton Grove was built with an extension to something like 70,000 in mind. That's only rumours too, though.

I'd imagine they're able to fill it up though. Same with Man Utd, they could build a 100.000seat stadium and sell out every game.
