overall and yes he's still playing.

It's a cunning question, because we're not exactly talking about most sub appearances here - mot stimes on the bench is a crap-shoot - uless it's bizarrely obvious!

Duncan Ferguson did seem like a good guess to me...

Nope Fowler has had a mere 23 games on the bench where he has not played.

Some things to think about.

Injury prone players don't spend too much time on the bench or in the squad.
Benches often have youth players in them.
Star players aren't going to have many games that they don't take part in at least in some capacity.
Goalkeepers are disqualified

Oh noes I've said too much.

Is it a super sub or just a bencher?

Outfield player that was named on the bench for a game and didn't come on at all.

Oh right, I was confused, thought you just meant players who have been subs rather than subs who haven't come on.

Phil Neville? Wes Brown?

Yes Phil Neville!

With a fantastic total of 63games where he was named a sub but didn't play (Brown has 30)

Woohoo!

That was a good one. I won't get my big book of Blackburn stats down and find anything from it, I don't think we'd be very successful.

Bryan Robson.

No wait it's not. I've definately heard who it was before though. Argh.

Oh and are we talking UK football? I presume we are considering the £

No, it's...oh god I can't remember his name, this is such a pub quiz question...he's a manager now, or maybe was, it's lower league so I'm not sure if he;s still going...grrrr.

I think he had something to do with Birmingham, but whther he manged them or played for them I dunno. And I can't remember who managed Birmingham before Bruce.

Ah that's the guy.

Oh yeah, Di Matteo's sister is blind, so had to be told by her friend that her brother had scored before she could celebrate.

Tonight: Pachuca receives Chivas to settle the winner of the CONCACAF champions cup.

Winner goes to Japan for the Club World Cup.

First leg stood at 2-2, there is no away goals rule.

I just looked it up, hadareud's already go it.

Ahh shit! Not what I was lookin for! But he's right!

The answer I was looking for was Rio Ferdinand - became the most expensive defender from West Ham to Leeds for £15 mil, then broke his own record to go to Man U for £18 mil

I think he went from West Ham to Leeds for the £18m, then from Leeds to Man Utd for about £30m didn't he?

Ah, the good old stupid days of football prices.

Yeah I'll be watching that at my cousins house ( his parents and brothers My aunts and uncles are hardcore Chivas fans.. in fact my cousins, uncle is actually Godfather to one of Oswaldo Sanchez's kids )

Ok, who was Blackburn's reserve goalkeeper when we won the title?

I don't mean that day, though he might have been, just generally that season. It's not some obscure name you don't know.

RoflBrothel!

I totally botched that one! Liliam Thuram actually took the most expensive defender title in between! Kinda like when you tell a joke, but it doesn't come out right...

Oh ffs not another question I shud know. Tim Flowers was your number 1 clearly. Oh dammit I'm never getting this.

There's only two that already played then, if it's a Premiership keeper.

James and Given. James was at liverpool at the time so it should be Given, unless it's a trick question.

I'm on a roll.

Let's do another keeper question. Who was Arsenal's back up keeper in their title winning season 96/97 - he ended up playing almost as many games as Seaman, due to injuries ...

edit: wrong year, corrected it now :lol
